Ying Xuan picked up a stone and aimed it at Mo Kio. Her intention was clear, even to Mo Kio who did not know sign language.
"You're asking me if you should attack me with...stones?" Mo Kio asked, eyebrows raised in surprise.
Kio sighed as Wei Jingyu also sat down, "I didn't think such a pretty face would be capable of such words. I think I might like your twin better."
Hearing this, Wei Jingyu glared at Mo Kio and Shi Weiwei shook her head. Ying Xuan sighed and signed, which Weiwei spoke without even needing to look what she was signing, "You're free to go hang out with her if you think she's better."
Mo Kio hurriedly shook her head, "I didn't mean that. I'll hang out here."
Shi Weiwei fumbled with her hands. She could sense the awkward atmosphere and looked up at Ying Xuan, who took the big bag Jingyu had brought and opened it.
"What is it?" Weiwei blinked and tilted her head.
Ying Xuan beckoned her as she sat down on the ground and began to take out the little packets one by one.
Weiwei's eyes sparkled as she looked at the packets of food, "How did you know I was hungry?"
Ying Xuan flicked her forehead and signed, 'You always forget to eat while you are writing.' "It's no big secret." Wei Jingyu finished as he helped Xuan open the packets and lay out the food.
Shi Weiwei was thoughtful as the four of them dug in. She munched onto a dumpling, deep in thought when a voice broke her trance, "Something on your mind?" Mo Kio asked, playing with a sandwich which was in his hand.
Shi Weiwei shook her head and asked, "Is it good?"
Mo Kio was surprised, "You've never eaten a sandwich?"
Shi Weiwei: "No. I'm not really a fan of western food. Plus I couldn't ever muster up enough courage to try something new."
Mo Kio held out his sandwich and gave a big smile, "It's great. Try it."
Shi Weiwei looked at the sandwich from all the angles before taking it in her hands and taking a huge bite.
Mo Kio watched in fascination as this cute little girl in front of him treated the sandwich like it was some kind of scientific invention.
Shi Weiwei took a bite and handed the sandwich back to Kio, making a face. "You didn't like it?" Mo Kio asked.
Shi Weiwei shook her head, "It's nice. But I think I'm gonna stick with Chinese food for now. Say Kio..."
Mo Kio dis not hear what Shi Weiwei said as he stared at the sandwich in his hand, bitten by Shi Weiwei.
He stared at the bitten part and suddenly a thought hit him, "She ate it. So is it...like.... an indirect..... kiss!?!?!?!?!?"
Kio's face turned beetroot red as he slowly took a bite from the sandwich, seeming to be in a trance.
He was brought back to reality by the sound of Wei Jingyu's voice. Jingyu seemed to be trying to snatch something from Ying Xuan, who was trying her best to evade Jingyu's hands as they sat side by side.
