As the two exited the class and headed to the cafeteria for dinner, they were still very confused as to what to draw on the topic the teacher had given them.
Wei Jingyu frowned, "What do you think it should be? Something that is so beautiful in whose comparison even the beauty of nature fails?"
Ying Xuan looked up from deep in her thoughts. She signed, 'I don't think so. It said rivals nature. Not pales it.' And she went silent again.
Jingyu kept racking his brain all the way to the cafeteria, when Xuan tapped his shoulder and signed, 'We'll figure something out. Let's enjoy dinner.'
He smiled and the two entered. They both messaged their friends to meet them in the cafeteria.
Jingyu's friends were the first to arrive. They apologized to Xuan over and over again while a very embarrassed Xuan asked them not to make a scene.
A few minutes later, Lu Zuan and Shi Weiwei entered the cafeteria.
They stopped dead seeing all the food on their table and the boys in front of it.
They both felt a hand slide across their shoulders and Lu Zuan turned around to see Ying Xuan smiling and looking with an amused expression at Weiwei, who was staring at all the food.
Lu Zuan raised an eyebrow, and Xuan mouthed, "It's their apology."
Lu Zuan turned back towards the boys who walked upto them, Mo Kio in the front.
They stopped in front of the girls and Kio said, "We're all really sorry. We hope you can forgive us for being such pig headed boys."
Zuan stiffled a laugh as Weiwei stared past the boys at the food.
Mo Kio took her hand and led her to the table, Weiwei looking like she had noticed the boys just now.
The three girls were made to sit around the table and Wei Jingyu walked forward, saying, "Please eat. We'll consider our apology accepted then." He then turned around to leave, but Xuan caught his wrist and signed, 'Come eat with us.'
Warmth swelled up in Jingyu's chest as she asked, "Are you sure it is fine?"
Xuan looked at Weiwei, who stared with a melancholy face at all the food and waved her hands, "It's fine. It's fine. I can anyway never finish all this."
Lu Zuan chuckled and ruffled her hair, saying, "You've grown up." as the boys brought chairs and sat down at the table of the girls.
During dinner, Ying Xuan caught Lu Zuan's eye, who was conversing with a friend of Jingyu's that was in her linguistics class.
"You've grown up too." She mouthed.
Lu Zuan smiled as she thought to herself, "All because of you."
The dinner was quite a grand event. They all laughed and talked among themselves, the fight of the morning seemed to be forgotten.
Their stomachs were full and the table was empty by the time they finished.
Shi Weiwei stood up with a leftover bag of chips in her hand. She was all smiles and had really enjoyed dinner.
She turned around to search for Xuan, and found her a little way from the group, talking with Wei Jingyu.
Weiwei smiled and turned towards Lu Zuan.
