The teacher seemed a little flustered, "Paint a person?"
Wei Jingyu looked at the female teacher as though she was an idiot. He said, making his sentence slow, "Yeah, like....to make a painting of a person."
Hearing this sentence, Ying Xuan's eyes shone, "Paint a person. She had never done that before. It would be nice!!"
The teacher understood as she said, "That's a wonderful idea. But I wonder who should we paint? Any ideas, young master Wei?"
Wei Jingyu looked around the class as he said, "Well of course, the person has to be wearing something cheerful in bright colours to make the painting more beautiful....."
Ying Xuan felt like his eyes lingered on her a little longer than it did on the rest of the class. She looked down at her red blouse and flower patterned skirt, and wondered, "I think he is.... Nahh, I'm over-thinking." Ying Xuan shook her head and brushed this thought away.
Just as she did, Wei Jingyu's deep voice rung through the whole class, "How about that one sitting in the corner at the very back? It's clear that she has no interest in the class, so why doesn't she just sit here and be pretty."
Just as he finished his sentence, Ying Xuan's eyes widened as she stared at him across the room.
He had dared to say that she had no interest in the class, she, who had been looking so forward to paint a person?
The teacher seemed almost afraid when she called out to Ying Xuan, "Miss Ying, could you ..... could you come over here?"
She could not offend the great young master Wei, but the Ying family was not someone she wanted to offend either. The students did not know about thr position of the Ying family due to their low profile, but the teachers did as Mr. Ying had made sure that his daughters would be well treated in the college.
Ying Xuan stood up and walked to the front of the class. She stood on the other side of the teacher and turned around with force, with led to her skirt twirling and lifting a little.
Ying Xuan saw that some of the boys were looking at her legs and she thought, "Geez, what desperate boys."
Xuan had not noticed that a certain someone's eyes had darkened as he stood on the other side of the teacher.
The teacher looked at Ying Xuan and said, "So...Miss Ying. Is it okay with you if everyone paints you for the next assignment?"
Ying Xuan shrugged and nodded.
The teacher seemed relieved as she said, "Now that's settled. Young master Wei, you can go back to your seat. And Miss Ying? You should sit down in the middle of the room."
Ying Xuan walked towards the very centre of the room, took a chair and sat down. Everyone turned their canvases and chairs so that they were facing Xuan from different angles.
As she sat there, a boy sitting right across her said, "I think it would be a better pose if she crossed her legs." He was eyeing Xuan's legs while he said this.
Ying Xuan was disgusted and was contemplating whether to slap this boy when a deep voice rung through the room again, "I was the one who won. So I will be the one who decides how she sits."
