Neither of them spoke as they worked but Ruby sensed a long conversation coming once they were safely away. She did owe Ash an explanation since she made him dress up like a girl. He had probably never experienced such indignity in his nearly 700 years of life.
She patted her pockets to be sure she had the car rental keys and her phone and peeked inside her purse to be sure she still had the blood pills and her wallet. Since Ash was playing the girl role right now, she handed him the purse and took control of the rolling suitcase herself.
