While Xue Mo and Lu Yao were immersed in a blinding light that engulfed them, the throne room was immediately concealed in a protective forcefield made from the combination of Xue Mo and Lu Yao's energies that were going berserk.
Hesroth was able to stay in there safely, due to it emitting the same kind of energy but other than that, and the room looked dead as a grey and dark light surrounded it. Like a sphere, blocking the view from outside and stopping anyone from entering.
When this light shined, the whole dungeon was engulfed by the energy leaked out, so Delvin was able to sense it, and returned immediately, to be met with a forcefield blocking his entry.
Delvin didn't give up and channeled his full power while using various skills to condense his energy into a point where all its attack power is preserved and not destroy the planet from the pressure like he almost died when he killed the village.
Stacking several skills unknown what they do onto each other, Delvin materialized a sword that seemed to be made from Mana. Still, the pressure and power that exuded were several times, what Delvin should be able to exert, and from the exhausted state Delvin was in after creating it, confirmed that this is all his power would amount to.
Delvin took a deep breath and tried to wave his exhaustion off. With his vitality stat, Delvin seemed to have never even broken a sweat after 10 minutes. While Delvin was recovering, the sword weirdly enough didn't dissipate its power but instead seemed to be also getting more robust. By the time Delvin finished his recovery, the sword seemed to have reached a state where it's too heavy for him to lift, and it even looked more and more corporeal by the second.
Delvin exerted all his physical prowess as he lifted the sword off the ground, albeit barely, and from the looks of it, he seemed not to be able to hold it for long. As veins popped off his head, Delvin used all his remaining power and slashed with the sword on the throne rooms door.
But to Delvin's dismay, he wasn't able to do anything, as soon as the tip of the sword touched the grey and dark foggy forcefield, it seemed as if a devouring force had been unleashed as it slowly sapped the energy from the sword before it can even do anything. When the power had been completely taken, the sword disintegrated into Mana's particles as it returned into the air.
Delvin was dumbfounded, as he didn't know what else he can do, he tried his best just now, and it amounted to nothing. Whatever this forcefield is, it was too strong, and he cannot do anything to it.
The only thing Delvin was left with was hope, 'Young Miss, please let nothing happen to you. We cannot go through that again.' Delvin held his hands in a praying stance as he looked up to the sky to whatever god or being can hear him and begged.
Delvin didn't seem to be able to notice that the forcefield he had failed to breakthrough had some signs and a similar nature and feeling to the power Lu Yao had unleashed back at the village before she left him.
Maybe because Xue Mo's own power was added to the mix, clouding the nature of the two energies as they synergized, making it seem like a new type of energy altogether.
Inside the forcefield
Hesroth had seen the entire process of what happened to Xue Mo and Lu Yao, but he knew that they were completely fine for some reason. Nothing bad will happen to them, so instead of worrying about his masters, Hesroth decided to try and check out his new body after the upgrade, that way he will be useful when his masters need help.
Besides the physical changes, and the overall enhancement in the physical aspect, Hesroth also felt that he had an upgrade in terms of energy and element control. Hesroth had felt intuned to energies and especially to his fire and Dark properties, making his control over them rise dramatically, or that's what Hesroth calculated. Still, without a trial test, he wouldn't know.
Although the throne room is quite big, Hesroth didn't dare try anything dangerous such as experimenting with his elements here, as he doesn't know what kind of reaction he might cause. Since his masters were now covered in some light that is encasing them, Hesroth didn't want to take any chances to endanger their lives.
Hesroth, after further deliberation, decided to try testing something that he gained after what he decided to call evolution, seeing that it was more than an upgrade, as his whole physical body and existence changed and not just an upgrade from his previous form.
Hesroth's new additional part that he gained after his evolution isn't just a decoration, for Hesroth felt that he could condense energy at the horn's tip and unleash a terrifying attack. However, the cost would probably be complete drainage of power, but this won't affect him much-being undead with infinite stamina.
Hesroth's physical changes weren't for the show. His skeleton had not only digested the bloodline of the Black Gold Skeleton that he received, but even the flesh that surrounded him grew after his evolution. This had given him a unique regenerating ability that would allow him to regenerate body parts if he were to lose them. Ultimately, he would be able to regenerate them fast. He might even be able to regenerate his bones if it was somehow penetrated and was able to break.
Hesroth had thought things through and decided to wait for his masters to wake up from whatever state they were in. The reason Hesroth decided that was because the room wasn't enough for any of his experiments without at least making a big whole, or explosions which he didn't want to do and risk injuring his masters or whatever is happening to them in the process.
Fortunately for Hesroth, he didn't have to wait for long as after a month of waiting, diligently, the blinding grey and dark lights coming out of Xue Mo and Lu Yao's body, respectively, slowly disappeared, and was absorbed by them.
The grey light weirdly enough went towards Xue Mo while the black one moved to Lu Yao, disappearing into them. While the remaining forcefield's energy started getting absorbed by Xue Mo and Lu Yao, it seemed to have condensed itself into a small sphere of power with the colors incorporated by Xue Mo and Lu Yao. It hovered around them for a few minutes as if familiarizing itself with them, before entering them and settling in a place near their hearts, inside what seemed to be another heart.
When everything finished, and the forcefield returned to energy that was absorbed by Xue Mo and Lu Yao, Delvin immediately sprinted into the throne room to see both Xue Mo and Lu Yao. They seemed to be unconscious about to fall face down. This urged him to attempt to catch them only to find Hesroth, who was already near them one step ahead.
Hesroth and Delvin looked at the couple sleeping comfortably upon Hesroh back, while his wings were caressing them, they had noticed changes that weren't there before they were encased in the light.
Some of these changes were obvious, such as Xue Mo getting small tips of white at the end of his purple hair, and Lu Yao's tail's fur became darker and greyer, contrasting greatly with the rest of her body that remained white.
Other than these physical changes, Delvin and Hesroth didn't notice anything, as there may be more, internally or something with their eyes that changed, but until Xue Mo and Lu Yao wake up, they wouldn't be able to tell at all.
While Lu Yao and Xue Mo were resting on Hesroth's back sleeping, something else was happening outside the Ash Expanse's stratosphere. Two powerful beings were nearing the planet at incredible speed.
If anyone who knows these two or heard of their names knew they were there, they would be shi*ting themselves, scared as they thought 'what do they want? Are we doomed? Are we gonna die at the hands of these two monsters?' But only weaklings and bugs live in this world so they wouldn't know that these two were there.
"So now that we are here, what do you want to? It has been such a long time, and I know that even if you try to suppress it, you cant. Hell, even I can't stop my urges to seeing these two again back. So big brother, what do you want to do?" A big monkey said to the child standing next to him while he glanced at the small planet in front of him, from time to time, with an intense gaze.
The red-eyed black-haired 13-year-old looking child didn't say anything, but you could tell from his eyes that he also wants to go there, maybe even more than the monkey.
"Proud." Suddenly the little buy spoke in a domineering tone that held excitement that seemed to burst before continuing: "Let's go they are waiting."
Hearing his big bro's words, Proud monkey didn't argue but instead accelerated his speed as they descended into the Ash Expanse, finally going to meet their brother and sister in law.
