They started drawing the runes and arrays while keeping their eyes on each other, making sure not to interfere with others' work. Their vast experience allowed them to finish the process smoothly.
The cooling spear started shining with various blue and dark blue lights that integrated into its structure. After filling the spear with arrays and runes to the brim, the duo inscription masters focused on combining some of them, making another show of blue lights to emerge.
It took them a couple of hours to finish before the last Array Formation formed. With it, the spear transformed, gaining an undistinguished look that concealed its extraordinary presence.
"That high-grade illusion Array Formation took a lot of energy." Lu Yao commented, wiping the sweat on her forehead. "But this way, no one will be suspicious of it."
"You seem happy."
"Of course!" her eyes flickered with her words. "This spear is a masterpiece! How can I not be excited having been a part of creating it?"
"What weapon do you want me to make you?" Xue Mo asked, seeing her so happy.
"Weapon?" Lu Yao sounded confused before pondering. "Well, I did dabble in rapiers and knives, so I won't be defenseless if I got attacked."
"Let's see," she crossed her arms deep in thought. "How about some daggers?"
"Daggers?" Xue Mo thought she would request a rapier after what she said but shrugged. "Sure, one dagger coming right up!"
He approached his workshop and took out some metals. He stared at the metals with great concentration, closing his eyes every time he picked one.
"What are you doing?"
"I am choosing metals that would suit you best," he replied while still feeling the metals. "Although you can't use the weapon now, I will make sure it will perfectly suit you when you get a human form."
"How?"
"Easy. I will just add some metals that adjust to the wielder, and if we add some runes and formations to compliment the metal, you would have a weapon that would feel most comfortable to use."
Lu Yao quieted down after hearing his answer and let him work without interruptions. She stared at him as he picked metals and other ingredients before putting what he will use on one side.
After an hour of watching, Xue Mo reached the last metal, which seemed to be the same one he flooded his Shadow Soul Pressure with, and immediately put it on the picked ones' side. He didn't even try to take a feel for it like the others.
Immediately after he finished picking the metals, Xue Mo neared the still burning furnace. He directly threw the metals inside without a second thought, and soon the sizzling of the metals sounded again as they melted together.
"Were you planning to make me a weapon from the beginning?" she asked, seeing him not concentrating much. "Is that why you hadn't shut the furnace down?"
"Yes," he curtly replied, keeping his eyes on the fire.
At first, Lu Yao thought he had some time to chat but seeing him this focused changed her mind. 'I will ask him once he finished.'
"Here, flood this with your chaos." Xue Mo said, throwing the black gold metal towards her.
"Okay?" she didn't know why he told her that, but she did it anyway.
Lu Yao had trained her control over her chaos energy, and now she could freely manifest some of it outside her body. She held the chunk of dark gold and summoned her grey energy, chugging into it.
"Try to only spread it outside of the metal," Xue Mo said when he saw her envelop the entire chunk with chaos. "I will deal with it later."
She nodded and complied, channeling her energy on the edges of the metal, and infusing it. The metal reacted by absorbing the energy and keeping it in the place that she imbued, surprising her.
Xue Mo used a long rod to transport the metal on top of the anvil. Just like before, he straightened the metal and altered its shape while expelling impurities utilizing the hammer. However, this time, he used a different technique as the hammer landing's sound and constantly sped before settling on a specific rhythm.
'One thousand devil technique,' Xue Mo inwardly said before Arch energy spread from inside him and entered the emerging shape of a dagger.
As if waiting its turn, Mana also joined the dagger the same way Arch energy did, giving the dagger a blue and dark blue coating. Like oil and water don't mix, Arch energy and Mana didn't blend with Mana floating above Arch energy like liquid.
Xue Mo saw this and frowned, arching his eyebrows. He used his Arcane power and forcefully combined them before integrating them into the incomplete dagger. After checking that everything was as he wanted, he turned towards Lu Yao.
"Throw it into the furnace."
Lu Yao did as he requested and saw how Xue Mo started using Arcane energy to manipulate the metal—using his experience just like before he integrated the grey chaos energy into the metal, giving it some of the energy's color.
Just like earlier, Xue Mo completed the process and started the next step of adding arrays while Lu Yao added the runes. They finished everything quicker than before, making the dagger shine.
"Did you know this is my first time creating anything that wasn't mine?" he asked her as they stared at their weapons.
In its true form, Xue Mo's spear was shadowy with ebony gold tint and miasma covering it yet not spreading randomly. Lu Yao's rapier was grey with the same tint as the former.
However, the harmonic and discord feeling coming from it showed its true nature. It was a weapon with chaos energy at its core, after all.
Suddenly, while the two were checking the weapons, they saw how when the Shadow Soul Pressure and the Chaos energy inside the weapons touched each other, they strongly reacted.
The two energies blended as if they complimented each other before shining in a blinding light of grey and black- a not noticeable shockwave transmitted into the atmosphere like a beacon from it.
Even Xue Mo and Lu Yao, the source of the energies, didn't feel it. They just looked on at the weird interaction of their weapons curiously.

"Did you feel that?" A hulking mass of a monkey asked a small child with black hair and red eyes. "That was definitely them! They are alive!"
The child was quiet, but the monkey could feel how happy he was from how his deathly energy moved. 'Big brother Kul is always like this. He must miss them more than me,' the monkey thought while smiling happily.
The darkness around the two was the abyss. The two were currently in space, moving to a location they had been tracking for a long time.
"Doesn't this feel too coincidental, though?" The monkey asked. "As soon as we found a clue to that traitor, their energies revealed that they live."
"Could it be a trap?" The monkey continued questioning, but the dark atmosphere that came from Kul made him shut up.
"Impossible," was the only thing that Kul, who had an old voice different from his looks, said.
"Still," the monkey started back to his happy self. "It's exciting! Our family still lives!" The monkey cheered joyfully, successfully changing the topic.
"This time, we won't let anything happen to them," the monkey finished with a dark and severe expression. Kul nodded with a similar face.
