Chapter 1 - Emperor of Ecria

The Emperor of Ecria was awfully silent today. The young Emperor sat on his golden throne with his legs crossed. His entire outfit was in black. He wore his charcoal black cloak with golden print of a wolf gracefully. The wolf represented the royal members of the Cloude Family. They were the fearest and the strongest family who excelled in everything. They were unstoppable, not a single soul dare to mock such a powerful household.

Kaspian was about to cross his arms over his chest but realized such behaviour wasn't part of him. Instead, he threw a fierce look at the man before him, sending him and everyone in the throne hall a cold shiver through their spines.

"You came here, to warn me that a war might break out?" He spoke loud.

"Y-yes, Your Majesty!" The man managed to say.

Kaspian knew he wasn't lying. After his father passed away last year, he was sure his enemies would be eager to burn his empire and son to ashes. He knew a war might surface but wasn't sure when.

"Understood." He said. A sigh of relief escaped the man's lips. The man was unidentified. Kaspian was at his office busy in a pile of paperwork but a knight informed him about a man crashing to his palace like a madman. He would've sliced his head with his sword and displayed him at the front of the palace but thought maybe he had something important to deliver.

That Monday morning, Kaspian dismissed everyone and he gracefully returned to his bedroom. The workers in the palace bowed at his presence but Kaspian paid no attention to them.

Upon entering his large bedroom, his fierce and stiff face immediately relaxed. He sighed heavily and threw himself on his fresh, tidy and enormous bed.

Putting a tough face was exhausting, it drained all his energy but he had to do this. People are watching and if he didn't, many would think too lightly of him.
