Chapter 39 - Day 2 The Results

"OK, its time I ask my questions but I can feel I don't have a lot of time because of the injury so listen up and answer me fully. Keep what honor you have left if you can." I said annoyed.

"Fine ask your questions, though I will not change my mind." Micheal replied.

"Why would you want to die rather then become a vampire? Is it really a fate worse then death?"

"Yes, I will lose my abilities and I am the best in the village. To go from the best to a nobody and be a shadow to my former self is something that I will not go through. So let me die. I would rather die and still be the best then live as a vampire and not have my full abilities." He replied.

"Ahh so pride at what you were is why you are fighting me in your turning. What if I told you I could change you but still allow you to keep your abilities? I am not just a vampire. I am a Master Vampire who was BORN one as well as a noble one that comes from a long line of powerful people. I am able to do what others can not do." I replied with false confidence.

"You will not succeed. I know my future and it is to die here. I will follow my future as it was told at my birth. I knew if I came to the werewolf den that it would result in my death. So let it be and happen."

"What about Lucien? Are you going to leave him alone in this world? Also new flash, you did die already. Georgina and I pulled you back and made you live again. So your prophecy already came true. What if I make you a deal?" I asked hopeful.

"Lucien knew I would die coming here to see him. To him I was already dead so he was already alone in the world. Now what sort of deal?" He asked cautiously.

"What if I promise you that you would be able to keep your abilities? If I turn you and once you adjust to the life of a vampire, you find you are lacking in your abilities that I will then kill you so you don't have to live like that. I had to add in the adjusting to vampire life because it might affect you a bit with your focus until you adjust to the different sensations and hungers. I do not know what those are exactly but I am told it can be disorienting for a few days, up to a week or so. Will that deal work for you? I am 100% good on my word. Once I give it, I always uphold my word or promise." I stated hopeful.

"I like that deal but I don't want to risk it so I am not going to take that deal. I don't want to have to adjust to a new way of living. So flat out no, now I heard you out. Go away, you offer nothing that I want or that would tempt me at all." Micheal replied to me.

I had one more card left that I could play. I didn't want to play it but it seems I was given two choices. Fight him and force it and pray I didn't break him or hope this last attempt works and he would join with me willingly.

"Actually I have another question for you. It could be my last question and statement or it could lead to more, depends on how you reply to it. Is that a deal?" I asked.

"Fine I will listen to this last bit, then you will go away and leave me alone to die right?" He said pleading with me.

I nodded and he relaxed and looked at me.

"Ok you have made it very clear that I have nothing that could tempt you into joining me and becoming a vampire but with that you are wrong. Vampires are immortal unless killed. If I can do what I promised you I could do and allow you to still have your abilities after a minor adjustment. That would allow you to be able to help people for the rest of time. You would be the vampire that is treasured and protected because you could use your abilities to help everyone around you. It would make you MORE valuable and MORE worth something then you were before your death. Is that offer right there worth it to you? Is that worth risking it all to try to obtain I sure think so. If you fail to keep your abilities then we can tell people that you died trying to become immortal so as to be able to help everyone forever. That right there would make you a hero in the eyes of the town. You tried to be there for everyone for longer then your life to protect them. That there is a noble cause and worth it." I stated slowly getting closer to him as I spoke.

"That would be worth it, you are right about that. I do not think it will be worth me trying to change though. The risk is too great that it would fail. Then people would know that I am a failure." He said looking at the floor.

I was close enough to finally touch him and I reached out and made contact with him just as his head jumped up.

"You are trying to trick me. You weren't going to give me a choice after all. You need to die!!!" He yelled.

He yelled to late, I had already made contact with him and pushed my power into him. I formed a collar of obedience in my left hand and attached it around his neck. This spirit world was handy and pretty cool. I didn't know if it would work or not but it did strangely enough. I then lifted his face to meet mine as his eye met mine I felt it click. He was now mine fully.
