It was not unheard of to possess conflicting elements, but those with conflicting elements were shunned by all races.
It's absolutely idiotic, I know, but that's just how people are. People are absolute idiots about certain things.
Having conflicting elements will boost both elements, like yin and yang in the eastern fantasy novels.
Why people don't like more powerful class variants, I'll never know, but being able to use boht ice and fire opened an entire new world in spells.
I could now combine the ice and flame to create burning ice, and ice flame.
Ice flame should be self explanitory. Flame that freezes. Simple enough.
The burning ice I had created, though, was far more versatile. I could make it hot enough to burn, or cold enough to freeze hell. This allowed my attacks to essentially switch elements mid-casting, something that could catch any of my opponents off guard.
"Thank you, Nymph." I said, truly thankful that she didn't take the ice element crystal for herself.
"By adding another element to your arsenal, you double your regeneration, too." Nymph said. "We can have you fight more."
I felt my eyes light up. When you possess more than one element, you are compatible with more forms of energy, allowing you to absorb more of the energy from around you, buffing your mana regeneration. When you have conflicting elements, this buff is magnified.
"Thank you!" I said again.
I loved fighting. I really did. Nymphadora thinking of me with that crystal made me feel fulfulled. Like my life was complete and I could die in peace, knowing that these people cared for me.
As we progressed to the next floor, despite not being good at planning, I began planning out how I could help Nymph get Jacob.
It was slightly mind-bending to make such a long-winded plan, but I thought that I would manage to do it and show my thanks to Nymph through action.
