The year was 396BU, there was peace amongst the races for the first time since the 100 year war, after the war had ended all the leaders of the surviving races met together and made a pact to forbid the use of dark magic and curses. With this in effect;

- The elven began to focus their attention away from dark magic and towards both alchemical and magical research in order to further advance their civilization.

- The dwarfen began developing new materials for construction and new technologies such as steam engines and railways.

- The kitsune's began work on their economy and created a central currency to ease the transition from war to peace and allow people to trade and buy supplys with ease.

- The orcs took a different approach and began gathering and storing information about the past and the great war so that people would be able to learn from their mistakes and as not to repeat them. They compiled this information into a central location capped a library.

- The Ocianids began charting the 5 seas and creating trade routes and connecting the continents with boating journeys as well as becoming the world's best fishermen.

- The human race however didn't accomplish anything significant due to a lack of enhanced abilities and a minimal amount of Inate magic, they could attempt basic alchemy but were always outshined by the elven.

Due to the humans shortcomings, they became very jealous and envious of the other races so much that they began to research dark magic even against the pact they had made. They believed that by harnessesing the powers of darkness they would be able to get stronger and be able to keep up with the other races, and they were right, eventually the humans were more powerful than even the eleven. This state of power didn't last long however as humanitys true skill was greed, no matter how much power they obtained, enough was never enough.

It was at this time that a research team stumbled upon an ancient tomb hidden within the icy mountains, within the tomb was an ancient slab with words of demonic language engraved, "" Tomb of demon Lord Zero, Open and you will receive all the strength and power you wish, open and your own risk"". Beinf the great and smart humans they were, they broke open the tomb without as much as a second though and instantly regreted their choice. Screams of terror and agoney bellowed out from the cave, slowly the screams ceased and the researchers began emerging from the cave, only they weren't the same as when they entered, they had changed as many had horns, some had wings and some didn't even look like a person anymore.

They had all been transformed into demons by demon Lord zero, and they began to reek havoc on the world, slowly turning more and more people into demons until noone was left. The greed of humanity would change the fate of the world forever.
