I sat on the couch bored out of my mind. There wasn't much to do when it got dark out so I would watch some of my favorite shows. May comes in with her purse over her shoulder.
"Hey. I'm going out for a while so make sure the house is locked up ok?" She smiled softly before turning and walking out.
I nodded to myself. 'Great. Nothing like a night alone in the house.' I shook my head with disappointment and I got up and locked the door behind her. After that was done I went upstairs and grabbed my phone and called my best friend.
"Hello" she sounded a little tired.
"Hey can you come over and stay the night. May left me home alone and I hate that especially at night." I sat on my bed hoping she would say yes.
"Can't I have practice tomorrow but maybe I can see if my mom can drop me off tomorrow afterwards." She yawned.
I nodded to myself as I got sad. "Ok that's fine. Good night." I hung my phone up and placed it on my bed as I went back downstairs and laid on the couch after shutting the lights off. I was in the middle of a really good movie until it was cut off by breaking news. I simply rolled my eyes and watched what they had to say.
A blonde women started speaking. "Sorry for the interruption but it appears that these five young boys escaped prison just a little over an hour ago. Authorities advise for everyone to keep your doors locked. If your outside please be aware of your surroundings as these boys are highly dangerous and are capable of anything." She continued speaking but I looked over and focused on the five pictures. 'Woah....they look creepy...'
After another hour of t.v I went upstairs to go to bed. I hate being home alone because that's when weird things happen but after a few minutes of laying in the dark i rolled over and finally fell asleep.
*next morning*
I woke up and got out of bed and went over to my dresser to get a new set of clothes and went to the bathroom. I got undressed and turned the water on and got in. The warm water was a welcoming escape from reality and just for a moment i forgot i was even in the shower. I washed my hair and body and got out, dried off and got dressed. After that was accomplished I put everything away and went to my makeup kit and grabbed eyeliner and some gloss. I'm not that kinda girl who goes all out on makeup but every once in a while I'll apply eye shadow and all that good stuff but I mainly like eyeliner.
As soon as that was done I left and went downstairs and grabbed my shoes. 'shit..I forgot my phone' after I put my shoes on I went back upstairs and grabbed my phone. I called my best friend to see if she wanted to hang out but I got no answer.
I frowned and decided to go out by myself and figuring May was home I called out "I'm leaving for a bit!" And no response came from her either so I shrugged and went outside. I looked in the driveway and noticed that her car wasn't home. 'she's usually always home.' I brushed the feeling off and figured she probably got a little too drunk to drive home last night so she stayed somewhere.
I began walking but I didn't know where to go. I walked to the park which was only a 20 minute walk and went over and sat on the swings. God i hated it when Ranaee had practice. My phone started ringing and I looked at it to see it was her.
"Hello?" I got a little happy.
"Hey I'm not going to practice so I'll be heading over." She said.
"Great! I'm at the park ." I hung up the phone and got super excited.
I got up off the swing and walked around the playground waiting patiently. It had been about almost 30 minutes before I seen her walk up the short set of stairs. I smiled and went over and hugged her tightly. She pulled away and we went over and sat under the play-set and she began talking.
"So have you heard what happened last night about the four boys?" she pulled out a bag of chips that I didn't even know she had.
I nodded. "Yeah I heard about it As soon as I was getting ready for bed." I rolled my eyes and took some chips and munched on them.
"To be honest with you...I think they're super cute." She giggled and looked at me. "don't you?"
I shrugged. "Nae..They're bad people. I don't think you'd want to be with them kinda guys anyways." I stood back up and pulled her up with me. "Let's go walk around."
She walked with me and we headed to the abandoned woods. To be honest..I didn't want to walk in there but we needed somewhere to go and the mall was a long ways from my house.
"Isn't the lake over here?" She wondered off in the opposite direction I wanted to go so I followed her slightly annoyed.
"Yes, but I thought we could go to the cliff and sit and just talk." I kept close behind her.
"Well that gets boring..let's just explore the unknown part and go back to your house to eat."
"Okay that's fine to." We kept walking and went further into the woods.
