The monster was not willing to bother them and run away because it was about to reach the peak of level five where the years of effort would bring some benefits. All the absorbed stones and the energy was residing in the body and its inborn stone would be able to settle with this energy at the peak of level five then the monster would become stronger enough to even fight with level seven hunter and defeat. This was the specification of this race.
These monsters work hard to collect enough stones from other monsters and then appear as the unstoppable.
This team was struggling to stop every path of retreat for this monster but the monster ran into the barrier and the team also ended up following behind.
