Chapter 4 - Beginning of the road

"대한민국에 오신 것을 환영합니다"

#meaning: Welcome to the Republic of Korea

"Hey Ms Analia Martinez! I am Baek Hyeon, your guide" He sounded so kind to my ears.

"Oh hi! Mr Hyeon...."

As we were driven around the beautiful city of Seoul, I could remember how obsessed my mom was for K-drama and she always wanted me to take her to Seoul atleast once.

Tears drop as I think about her.

"Are you okay?" Davidson looks at me worried

I wiped my tears as quickly as I could, "Oh it's nothing! A dust went in" ... and I put sunglasses on.

"So how long are you planning to stay, Ms?" Baek Hyeon ask

"A month probably or just right before the work is over, there's no certainty"

...

By the windows of my hotel room I could see the whole city so busy and I miss Los Angeles and my office.

"Oh my God! I didn't know I slept that long!" checks my phone and it's already 10 pass five minutes with 20+ missed calls from my manager.

"I don't believe you were literally sleeping like dead on your first meeting" Davidson was super mad at me. But I am the boss, I acted like I didn't care at all but I was freaking inside because the first day was a mess.

"The meeting went well and they liked our product" We toasted our drinks to our first successful meeting in Seoul.

The whole crew was excited and the city was beautiful.

"What do we have tomorrow?" I ask at the table before anyone gets away from their focus on business.

Carlos, an employee speaks up, "We have few schedules packed up from early morning till late at night"

Chewing my share of meat, "Okay.. continue!"

He gulps as if he had a long plan to speak out and reads as fast and fluently as he can, "You have a meeting with Mr Bin enterprises and we've arranged it at 8:00 sharp in the morning. You must finish the meeting before 9:30 am since Seri's choice will be coming to see your new products and test them. We've decided the venue in Aloft Seoul Myeongdong. Hope you can get there in time. Since the testing and discussion will take long, therefore we haven't set up any meetings for straight 3 hours. From 2-3 pm you can rest and at 3:00 pm Mr Baek wants you to go around with him and see the style and flavours of Korea since it is important for you to know when you're doing business. And from 7:00pm, you need to attend the Haru Creations party where you'll be introduced to people there. That's for tomorrow!" Carlos sits down. I've always admired how he was so precised with everything he does.

By now I knew how tomorrow looks like.

Just listening to it was tiring but I was used to it anyway.

I had to put myself to sleep by any means so sleeping pills was always my friend.

"It's gonna be a long day, honey!" turns the lights off
