Chapter 17 - First town

Shaking his head Zel just looked at Rai and said to come back and merge with his body and then looked at the guardian spirit.

"As you are a being from the creators world I doubt you will stay here so I wish you luck on your journey."

The spirit was still in minor distress but she controlled it to let Zel leave.

"Thank you I appreciate all your help" Zel said with a slight bow

"Good luck"

As Zel walked away the area around him shimmered an the once beautiful pocket of space around him seemed to disappear from existence Zel knew if he kept walking he would reach a town so he stopped I make a few preparations.

As he stood in the forest edge with the sun beaming over him he called out Rai.

"Alright what's the plan master" Rai said with extreme excitement.

"Ughhh just call me Zel we are gonna cast a spell to disguise my self I don't know how Fae will be treated but I'd rather not risk it." Honestly Zel was worried about Npcs but the player discrimination would probably be worse in a couple weeks due to the faes low starting points.

Zel focused and moved the mana inside his body he began to picture the image of his normal self he spoke he spelled out the word for disguise in small spell circle Rai's eyes seem to lose focus as the spell completed. Zel now looked like his normal self with no indication that he was a Fae and a smile eventually formed on his face. Zel was happy with what he created spell language was the code but imagination was the main working of the spell language yah he could have been more exact in his wording of the spell creating something that said disguise as a human but that was for people who didn't know how to make spells work in his opinion or higher tiered spells. Spells language plus your imagination could make most spells work way different than they were supposed to which gave each individual player freedom while being more accurate with the language could make spells more exact they didn't have a lot of variables if you only said what you wanted but this could be circumvented if you made sentences or things of that nature but the process was longer. An example of this would be saying fire arrow instead of just fire if you said fire and imagined a flaming arrow the result would be the same as saying flaming arrow the main thing was saying fire and imagining it took greater mana control Zel's mana control was really high for a regular person plus his race bonus gave him an advantage but he honestly was just brute forcing it due to his familiarity with the system he really just knew what to do so right now he was just ahead of the curve when it came to casting spells. Mana could do a lot more than just gather which is all he ever did as quinton so he just benefited from a lot of practice the natives of the New Orbis were way better and had way more techniques. So in all Zel was pretty much just at the apprentice level of his total control of mana just by knowing how it functioned and how it would react due to him creating it and his knowledge of the spell language put him at the highest level at creating and designing spells his actual ability as a caster was mediocre at best but ahead of the rest of the player base for now. He was theoretically extremely strong but lack of combat and general casting theory that had developed in new Orbis limited him. Zel knew how to make a spell not really the best way he only had his idea of the best way but he didn't full create a whole system he left it up to the Ai to fill out the major details with exploring different ways to use the language, runes and mana by having different npcs experimenting with mana along with letting it reference from different cultural books on how an energy like this was supposed to work.

As Zel walked through the forest the first town came into sight Rai had remembered the spell and kept it active around him the guards at the gate looked at him weird but with all the people appearing in there town lately they shrugged it off security for most towns was insanely lax individual people would just be let in while merchants and things would have to go through inspection Zel wasn't worried that his spell would be seen through the guards would have to be more mana sensitive to recognize a spell that was already cast and or the spell would have to be effecting them directly a mage profession might be able to notice but for anyone to tell outright they would have to be 10 levels above the caster have a higher mastery in mana manipulation or be using an identify spell for spells of this type anyway the guards patrolling the gates were only level 5 it honestly was expecting to much from them.

As Zel made his way into the town he realized how big it was with New orbius having a bigger land mass than earth the size of the town was really like a small city as he looked around he saw a plaque with the towns name "Delmont"
