The Fire Dragon shivered in fear as he heard his Master's domineering voice. He reminded himself of how this fearsome lady became his master. Of how a seventeen year old lady was a powerful than him. If she wanted, she could easily slaughter him and eat his core.
When he saw her mischievous smile, he can't help but to cower in fear. Even in his human form, he can't do anything in his will, because he willingly pledge his life to her, but not entering a contract with her. No one knows aside from him and that emperor, how his master's cunning and foxy tactics made him pledge his life to her without entering a life contract!
"Anyways, milords, can you take my challenge in taming this beast?" his Master's words made man's face instantly darkened after she bullied and ignored his trembling figure. From his appearance, one could tell that he was very angry to the fact that his master is impatient to sell him off to sine random master.
Anastasia, ignoring the man's pitiful face, eyed the three person who are in the center arena are now in deep thought, stratigizing on how to defeat this opportunity. They knew that Dragons are arrogant and proud of themselves so they won't easily be tamed. Aside from Lady of the South's words, the two men thought that base from the lady's power, can forcefully tame the dragon. But they are far inferior to her just by looking at the calm smile she always wore.
Once the three of them are ready, they cupped their fists and summoned their weapons and except the young duke, the two attacked the man in red robes.
BOOOOM!
A loud bang of smoke enveloped the arena. The crowd were astonished with the thick fog of smoke and didn't hear any sounds of clanking swords nor any type of action sounds.
"izchisti vyatura!" the young emperor's voice boomed and shook the hearts of the crowd. The emperor from the east is known for being a spell caster and an elemental mage. This made the red robed man's face darkened a bit. If not for the emperor's spell, no one can see his ugly reaction.
"Another spell caster?! Does lady luck really hates me to the bones?!" the man's baritone voice echoed inside the arena, and when the smoke disappeared, one could see the irritated look in Gragolor's face.
Anastasia couldn't help but to sneer at Gragolor's ugly face. Little did everyone know that spell casters and mages are dragons weaknesses.
But because of the spell which the emperor had said, the smoke immediately cleared, and in front of everyone's eyes, lays two bodies who lie motionless beneath Gargolor's feet.
The crowd went in panic. Those two were strong enough to surpassed dead of alive stages, but just a single moment, the dragon who just shifted into his human form let them taste his wrath.
"These bunch of idiots think they can make a scratch out of me. Tell me master, can I just devour them? I vaguely remembered the taste of human flesh. How about this, if they can't tame me, how about I'll eat them?" the red robed man returns back to his true form; as the Legendary Dragon because he is faintly scared of what that foxy emperor can do.
"Hmm...Gragolor, when did you have the right to bargain with me? Looks like you didn't learn after what happened last time? If so, then I can't show my face to the future master of yours because of your behaviour!" Anastasia acted like she was embarassed and wronged but her words are the exact opposite!
Remembering on how she easily subdued a dragon like him and 'teaching him a lesson', he widened his eyes in disbelief! But her words mean something else. Is she really that sure that someone else can tame this divine one?
(Divine one is a title being used by legendary beasts that can shape shift or shift into a human form.)
"This divine one is wrong." he bowed respectfully and put his wings behind him as a sign of defeat. However ...
"Ha ha ha. Athough your words amused the emperor of the east and I, couldn't just let you kill them. However, if one of them successfully tamed you, he can choose. If he wanted the other two alive, I'll just give you a treat, or if he simply doesn't want anyone be a threat to him, then consider it as a gift from him being your new master." after saying these words, Anastasia found that the tea she was drinking was already cold. Hence, she asked a servant to reheat it.
Still, her words surprised many. She purposely said that the one who can tame the dragon can determine the life of his two other companions. Looking to the two bodies under the dragon's feet who were unable to move an inch, their fate was onto the hands of the remaining one, who they redeemed as a trash; Xander Constantine!
On Xander's mind, he is mentally cursing Anastasia. All he wanted was to become the champion, yet she and the Legendary Fire Dragon made things hard for him. It's like they are pushing all responsibilities on him! He only has two choices; one, if he is fortunate enough to tame the impossible, the deaths of the two wouldn't be on his head. But if he isn't lucky enough, then two kingdoms will be on the run for his head. So the only safe option is the first one. He should succeed in taming the Fire Dragon. And Anastasia didn't give him another choice but to show his true capabilities.
His dark face was noticed by Anastasia and guessed that he is cursing her already if he understand the meaning to her words. Her words simply points to a certain point --- he has to show the true him in order to defeat the mighty dragon that only she, can tame.
For Anastasia, with just her words, it's like hitting two birds with one stone. Because this young man piqued her interest and didn't show any sign of giving up in all stages. Only determination and patience. And she is doubting him. She thinks he didn't even use an ounce in his power in subduing all levels and stages during three weeks of the said competition.
'If he really could tame this arrogant and stupid dragon, I won't hesitate to reward this fool to him.' Anastasia suddenly calmed down about her thoughts. But if he let her down, she won't be able to stop this dragon if devouring and making these three as his meal.
