Rainbow stared at the wall, she was worrying about her sister Lilly. She knew all too well what living in their family was like and the strains that it put on their shoulders. She subconsciously lifted her hand to her neck, gently rubbing the bruised area. She quickly stopped when Dimond decided to stick her nose in Rainbow's life once again. Dimond came over to her slightly cautiously after what had happened last time.
"Lilly?" She asked. She hadn't said it in a caring tone, more of what Rainbow described as uninterested. If she was so uninterested then why even bother asking? She thought. Despite this Rainbow nodded glumly.
"Well, if she's going to kill herself she might as well do it already." Dimond huffed, taking Rainbow off guard. Rainbow shot her a look.
"Look, that girl has been depressed since birth. There's no need for you to be dragged down with her. That's all I'm saying." Dimond continued. Rainbow frowned. Why was Dimond being so heartless all off a sudden? Lilly was only 11, how could Dimond be okay with her cousin dying? Then Rainbow remembered why Dimond was acting so cold. She'd messed up Dimond's life. That's what Dimond had said.
"Dimond. I... I-I didn't mean to hurt you like that..." Rainbow started then she lowered her voice slightly. "I-I just lost control again... y'know?" She added hoping it would erase her past mistakes.
Linda came through the dorm door.
"All you seem to do is effortlessly apologise RB. Time to get your act together." Dimond simply replied and walked off to talk to Linda. Rainbow knew she'd hurt them both physically and emotionally but she didn't know how to make things right again. Why was growing up so hard?
