His father was sitting in his Mayor's seat facing the wall. Gary crept inside and sat on the stool in front of the desk. It was a small room, it always made Gary feel claustrophobic especially as he only went in there when he was being told off by his dad. It was the most sound proofed room in the building because this was where all the mayor's deals were made. Gary hated going in the room because he knew that he was going to spend the rest of his life in it just like his father. The walls were decorated with the previous mayors of the county they were all Sheffield's as unlike some counties the Sheffield mayor's medallion followed a bloodline, one by which controlled everything Gary did.
"You asked for me?" Gary questioned. His father stayed silent for a long time. Gary's fear was building in the silent room. The tension was so thick that Gary could have cut it with a knife. He knew that his father was going to kill him this time.
His father spun round in his chair with a stern stare. "It seems that I have been going towards your education in the wrong way. I have been doing it how I was taught but now I realise that... you don't learn the same way I do. Some alliances with the other counties could also be very beneficial with making deals." His father started.
