It has now been a month since I started attending class with Rose. We have gotten closer now. I haven't met anyone else from the novel until now. Right now Lady Rose and the prince, Angelo Raes, are having an argument.
"Enough Rose!" The prince exclaimed.
"Your highness you have to know better than this." Lady Rose said.
"Your highness I'm really okay. I fell by myself." Said the protagonist as she clung to his arm.
"This is so annoying" I said out loud on accident.
"You there, who are you?" The prince asked.
"She doesn't have to tell you who she is." Rose answered.
"If you'll excuse us your highness Lady Rose and I have to head to class." I said.
-on the way to class-
"Such a terrible fiancé."
"He isn't terrible he is actually really nice and sweet."
"You must Really like him."
She looked down.
"Yeah, I do. We where close when we were kids."
"Oh really? Why did he begin to act this way?"
"He got into an accident and lost his memories five years ago. Since then we haven't been close. He only sees me as his fiancé now."
"After the accident... did you act stricter after that since you were worried for him?"
"Yes. I don't want him to get hurt again."
She started crying.
"Rose, lets miss this class."
"I can't."
"Have you ever been outside these walls? Lets go to the town."
"I'll get in trouble."
"I'll tell them you weren't feeling well if that doesn't work I'll tell them I forced you and accept any punishment."
"Okay."
-in town-
"Lady Rose. I want to apologize to you."
"Why would you apologize?" She appeared confused.
"I'm sorry. This- I mean making you come to town is of my own selfish desire."
"Why would it be- oh right you have never been to the town before."
"No. It is cause I wanted to spend more time with you."
She smiled.
"I also want to spend more time with you, Aria. Tell me do you where you are from?"
"I do."
"Where are you from? What kind of place is it?"
We stopped walking and sat by the fountain in the middle of the town.
"I'm from a different world. I guess you could say it is a nice place. My parents are nice and accepting people. My little sister on the other hand she is not."
"That sounds nice. I barely talk to my parents. The only time is use to seem them was during dinner or we would sometimes see each other in the hallways. I've never been close with my brother. You must be closer to your little sister than I am to my brother."
"No. My sister is homophobic. I'm surprised you believed me when I said I was from a different world I though you wouldn't."
"It didn't seem like you were lying. Aria?"
"Yes?"
"What is a homophobic?"
"Someone who hates, despises, or feels disgust towards homosexuals."
"What is a homosexual?"
"A homosexual is someone who likes people of the same gender as them."
"You like girls?"
"Sorry..." I looked away, "I do. I get it if you... want me to leave."
Tears streamed down my face whilst I didn't make a sound. I was still turned away from her.
"Ah... No it is okay. I didn't know people liked people of the same gender as them."
"But Rose... I like you."
She stayed silent.
I stopped crying and realized what I had just said. I felt my face turn red.
"You like me?"
I didn't answer. She turned me to face her. She didn't look disgusted.
"Sorry i know we have only known each other for a month now."
"I don't mind it. I don't care if you like me. It is just- I don't know I think I like the prince but you saying you liked me messed me up a bit and I don't know how to feel."
"It is okay. If you ever figure it out you can tell me." I smiled and she smiled back.
"Okay."
This means I have a chance. Right? Heheh.
"Let's return to the academy now."
-Back in there room-
"Why weren't you in class, Rose.?" Her brother, Iku, asked.
"What does it matter to you brother?" She replied.
He clicked his tongue.
"So it just so happens that during the time you weren't in class, Lady June got injured?!"
"It wasn't me!" She yelled.
He raised his hand to slap her I got in the way before he could.
"Aria!"
"It wasn't Rose!"
He left in anger.
"Are you okay, Aria?"
"I'm okay, Lady Rose."
"Aria, why is there times where you refer to me as Rose and other times as Lady Rose?"
"I'm not accustomed to saying Lady or Sir. In my world we call each other by our names."
"Just call me Rose."
