*Hey guys. I didn't edit this and frankly this chapter is kinda choppy. I'm sorry. I haven't slept in 24/7. *
It had taken Amy just two days to move everything into Dustin's van. Usually, it would take most people more than a few days, but Amy didn't want to stay in her childhood home any longer.
Much to her dismay, last night he had suddenly taken off, telling Amy he had been called in for work. He came home looking physically exhausted. She found him past out on the couch.
She walks up to him, watching him snore like a baby bear. Amy felt a wave of gratitude. She couldn't ask for a better brother. Watching him leave for work early in the morning, and doing his best to take care of her. Overwhelmed with emotions, she leans forward and places a soft kiss on his forehead. What he doesn't know won't hurt him, right? For all Amy knew, he was asleep.
Boy oh boy, was she gravely wrong. She had unknowingly threw coal into a burning fire. Quickly tucking him into blankets, Amy heads to the kitchen.
I bet he would love a big breakfast after working all night.
With a eager smile, she turns on the stove.
Pancakes and bacon! You can never go wrong with that!
Meanwhile, Dustin was wide awake now. His forehead was swarming with warmth caused by her kiss. The gleam in his eyes was hopeful, but had a very sinister undertone. He couldn't begin to explain how his chest felt. For a brief moment, he felt his body floating.
She...She kissed me.. Amy.. Amy..
Was this what it feels like? To have a dream come true? He was delighted, but mostly absolutely shocked.
She's making me breakfast?
Dustin nuzzles his nose into the blanket she gave him. He tries to inhale deeply, catching the smallest scent of her.
She even tucked me in..
His heart is left to painfully flutter. He keeps his eyes close, imagining taking her on this very couch. This was a mistake. His groin starts to grow, but Dustin doesn't see this as a problem right away. He reaches down and grips himself. That simple kiss alone was enough to drive him wild. He glides the palm of his hand back and forth, still picturing Amy.
"Dustin?" The sound of shifting blankets alarms Amy, "Are you awake?"
Dustin whips his hand away from himself and shoots upward. "Uhh.. yeah!"
Shit... What am I going to do with this??!
He wraps his waist with the blanket. Deep down he knew he couldn't hide this. The blanket was thin and sorta made things more obvious.
Shit! Shit! Shitttt!!!
"I'm so ready to see your place!" Any comes walking in, carrying a plate full of food. "It's kinda exciting ya kno-"
She stops. Her face was hotter than the plate. Her lips break apart for a second, before quickly closing again.
Dustin's face was a gleaming bright red. This was not how he planned the day to start off.
"I-I am so sorry." Amy places the plate on the coffee table, her face just as bright as his. "I am so so sorry."
She covers her eyes with her hand. Amy wanted to be invisible but not as badly as Dustin. Trying to make the situation not as awkward, he tries to make a corny joke.
"Hahah morning wood. Pssh... The joy of being a man." His smile falls flat.
Amy turns around and heads back into the kitchen. Unsure how to react to this. "I'll let you take care of that.."
"Yeah...haha..." As soon as she's out of sight, he slaps his forehead in disbelief.
God am I THAT stupid??
Luckily, that whole experience turned him off. Trying to play this smart, he waits a few minutes before heading into the kitchen.
"Sorry about that Amy.."
Dustin scratches the back of his head. Suddenly his body felt awkward. He didn't know what to do with his hands.
"No it's fine!" Amy gives him a cheerful smile. Honestly it was her attempt to get over this conversation, "I should of known better than to just walk in."
Dustin clears his throat. He takes his awkward moment to pour a glass of water, relieved he had something to do with his hands.
"So, are you ready to come live with me?"
Amy suddenly stands on her tippy toes. Something she did if she was overly excited. "Oh my god, yes! What does your place look like?!"
"Oh.. umm.. Don't judge, but it's a old church. I remodeled the inside to a more modern home."
"What?" Amy, clears her ears out making sure she heard him right. "A old church? That's kinda cool!!"
Once again Dustin's eyes light up, "Yeah I even have a old farm. Nothing is in there yet, but... maybeoneday." He mumbles the last part, picturing his horrendous ideas.
"Oh so... you own a church and a farm? How'd you do all that?"
Dustin is caught off guard by her question. He should have expected this. He thinks for a moment, before deciding there was no need to lie.
"My biological parents left it for me. It was in their will when my father passed. He used to be a preacher and inherited the church from family generations."
Amy cups her hands under her face. Learning about her brother was interesting, but also concerning. Why hadn't he mentioned this before.
"Well!" He claps his hands, and grabs some of Amy's bags, "Are you ready to head out?!!"
