"Hey, isn't that the boss?"
"Huh? Really?"
"No way! Wasn't the boss injured after the accident?"
"Apparently he was in a coma."
"I heard he was resting on a private island."
"What!? Rubbish! Look at the boss, he must have brain damage."
"What do you mean?"
"Well... He seemed to be floated on roses, boss was never like this before."
"Ahhh, it just makes him more handsome."
"Uh."
Guillard corporation exploded with rumors when Mou walked in instead of Cerim. They had gotten used to Cerim's more lax manner. So when the executives had an awful meeting where Mou didn't even look at their documents without berating them all for certain aspects. It felt like home again...
"Boss, here are the reports." Lennard came in and gave some documents to Mou. Mainly everything that only he could sign, even Cerim didn't dare touch some of these documents.
"Alright." Mou replied coldly as he started to work.
'Nothing has changed... Thank the lord.' Lennard thought Mou was an imposter when he saw Mou walking into his office with a slight smile. But his eyes must have been playing with him...
No, they weren't Mou was just happy because Stella wished him a good day at work... Dear oh dear.
...............
Stella had disguised herself to look slightly older. Around her thirties. She did this to not look suspicious to her parents...
She walked into the main branch of the Bei family business in Country T. Julie's exports.
Why the name? Stella had no idea. She just decided Julie was a nice name...
The business specialized in exporting things ranging from phones, minerals, food, car parts. It was the main port of operations in Country T.
But most importantly, every single business under the Bei family was connected to Julie's exports. Hence, annual meetings would be held and Julie's exports held the most power.
Stella walked over to the private elevator. Not bothering with the receptionist, the receptionist was going to call security. Until the elevator responded to Stella's card. It meant that she was an important guest or shareholder of the business.
The receptionist was left baffled, as the elevator opened on the top floor. Stella walked out with confidence.
The top floor was the CEO's private workspace. Along with the vice president and the secretaries. The floor was spacious with six workspaces outside of the main room, Stella's office. She passed the workspaces and entered her office.
Inside she saw her subordinates. Di, Vi, Tia, Hill, Blair and also Amy.
"Young Miss." They all stood at attention when Stella walked in. Making it seem more like an army drill than a workplace...
"Stand down, just call me boss or CEO here. Blair, you're demoted to vice president. Amy, you're promoted to a secretary. Any issues?" Stella ordered as she took her seat at the modern desk.
"No boss." Blair and Amy both answered.
Stella nodded. "Vi, make sure Amy learns the ropes. Hopefully, everyone knows what to do." Stella dismissed them, she had work to do.
Blair handed all of the work she needed to do and then got on the phone to the subsidiary companies under Stella. Some of the CEO's of those companies refused to work under Stella... So they needed to be put in place.
Stella signed many documents and scheduled multiple meetings. Since she was in such a position of power, everyone came to her. She went through four subsidiary companies in one day. Establishing new projects, or understanding who they are loyal to...
This went on for two weeks. Stella would wake up early with Mou. They would work out, eat, work, go home late and sleep. It was tiring. But also they knew they needed to sort their companies out.
...............
"Apologies Madam, but the project has already been accepted and we can't cancel it." An older gentleman seemed to be apologetic at Stella's meeting table.
Stella kept her cold eye on the documents and kept sight on the man. He should be retired, living a life of luxury due to having large enough shares in a profitable business under Stella. But instead, he was greedy for more, trying to place his family on a pedestal that wasn't there's...
"Oh, that's a shame then. If you would like to excuse me." Stella didn't even address the man. Indirectly insulting him, she didn't know who he was, he was nothing to her.
Stella walked out of her meeting room with Amy and Blair next to her. "Amy you can leave now. Go before Tracy has a fit." Stella let Amy go, she was only learning at the business for now. She was still an artist. Despite not taking many jobs as before.
Stella sat down at her desk as Blair put down some documents. "The CEO of the plastic wrap company refused to meet you. I sent some people and discovered he is connected to that man. My only guess is that they are all connected to her." Blair reported as Stella signed some more papers.
"Mmm, you did a good job controlling as many as you did. Out of 73 separate subsidiary companies you managed to pick up 20. 39 of them aren't aligned, while the other 24 sided with my dear mother." Stella now knew who was on her side, and who wasn't.
Her mother picked up businesses explicitly in Country F. Quite smart since they would the easiest to control as she should be the matriarch at the moment. They are also deadly loyal to her mother.
While Stella decided to spread her presence. She also prioritized important exports such as oil and food. She can control a countries economy at will.
"The problem lies with politics." Stella mumbled, that was something she did nothing with. She has no connections to anyone in politics. She hated the world of politics, the people in the most control of people's lives could become so corrupt they don't care about their people and only care for profit. As seen in Country R, the previous cabinet only cared for profit. Spiraling the country downhill. Now they are decades behind economically.
Blair watched as Stella draw up a plan in her head. "Excuse me for interrupting, but have you considered using Mou's connections?" Blair asked respectfully.
One thing he did know was that the Guillard family was a good friend to the government. Due to close connections to the Pold family and the Old Master solidifying friendships with life-saving deals across countries.
Stella froze as she twisted her pen. 'No, I didn't...' Stella then smiled. "Good idea, make sure the target is quiet by tonight. You can come in later tomorrow." Stella stood up as she went to leave to go home and discuss it with Mou...
Blair smiled, he was happy to see Stella working away. He might have been in control of this company for a long time. But the chair was inevitably Stella's. He was just keeping the seat warm.
