A month passed, the stocks of the Guillard Corporation dropped after news of the 'accident' was leaked. But Mou wasn't the head of the Guillard family for no reason, he worked from his bed to stabilize the situation and sent Lennard to all his meetings.
Terel recovered with only minor damage and burns, he was sent away to recover for three months. While Mou was recovering, his burns were much worse, but they would eventually heal. His injuries were healing slowly because of Mou's tendency to overwork.
However, he was in an awful mood, since waking up he was advised to not see Stella by Andy. He quickly realized that her injuries must be really bad, but he decided to put trust in the people under Stella.
Andy was around the hospital day and night. After going into the operation room he threw every doctor out of the room. He couldn't afford any leaks about Stella's weaknesses, even if she would never wake up again.
The Guillard family doctor, upon seeing famous doctors around the world come to the aid of the woman in the operation room, understood that her identity was one to not mess with. He was glad that he decided to operate on her first, since Cerim insisted he would regret it if he didn't.
Vi, Di, and Hill would come to the hospital to see Stella. That was when Cerim started to learn how Stella impacted their lives.
He was in awe listening to what Stella had done in the past, hearing that she saved their lives. She personally trained them, she taught them about business and the underworld. She still set targets for them to learn even when they are in their mid-twenties. It was amazing.
One day, when Old Master Guillard and the Old Madam were around. They decided to ask their grandson about the woman in the operation room.
"Mou, isn't the woman in the operation room the one Cerim said you wanted to marry?" Old Master Mou asked as he took a stern look at his grandson.
Mou nodded. In which, Old Madam Guillard sighed. "What a shame, Cerim and Emily both told us interesting stories about her..." The Old Madam was told that Mou has been in love with her since first sight, while Stella had contacted Emily multiple times about their relationship.
They both were devastated upon hearing their grandson was in an 'accident' but both of them weren't senile to not know that it was clearly a targeted attack. But when they saw the fact that Mou wasn't caring about his health. And asking about Stella by the day, they understood that he was stupidly in love.
Andy imposed a rule that no one can enter Stella's room, she needed the strictest protection as she had many enemies. Even if she was in the 'accident' as a bodyguard, they couldn't let their guard down.
...............
Andy was put in a bad situation. He had the responsibility to keep Stella alive. When he turned around to see a motionless Stella only living due to various tubes, he wondered if it was worth it or not?
But then he thought about the strange events that happened in Country Z. Tia decided to secretly monitor the situation as they hadn't heard from Stella in so long. So when they heard that Stella was routinely sleeping late and not eating. They all had the same sour feeling.
Stella had openly told Andy that she didn't want him to try to save her. He never knew why Stella hated herself so much, he could only guess how she got those scars. Only guess how her organs seemed to have been tampered with so much and she still lives. Only guess, how she thinks.
But he was certain, certain that she was falling in love. He was glad for Stella, because she might find a reason for her to live.
So he decided to quietly start to find a way to help Stella live. He knew the problems lay within Stella's organs. So he tried to find some donors for her.
But after some safety tests, he found out that her body wouldn't respond to those organs. Why? She had various poisons in her blood! Her organs were trampled by those poisons and she was only alive because they adapted.
The only option from then on was to collect organs, and keep them in the same poison for close to ten years. But then her life span wouldn't be long enough, and they would need to transplant again.
He was at a loss. Until one day...
"Bro offered to help out in your business," Cerim said as he wiped off some sweat from his forehead.
Hill was stunned. "What? Why?" He was confused.
Cerim chuckled. "He said, 'if the original mastermind can't work, then why not replace it with a shell and make it work in the same way.' Honestly, I don't think that you need his help. But there you go." Cerim shook his head, he knew how guilty Mou was at the accident, he learned that Stella had such poor health. So why didn't he notice quicker and bring her back to Country T? He blamed his selfish desires...
Andy, who was drinking away his thoughts, felt an idea come to his head.
If he couldn't get organs to do the work... Why didn't he just make some to do it? It didn't come across his mind until now.
"Do any of you understand engineering?" Andy suddenly asked, making everyone confused.
After some silence, Andy was back at point one. "My brother does, he once created his own car when he was bored." Cerim revealed, making Andy tremble with excitement.
Andy immediately stood up and rushed into Mou's room. Giving him a rundown on Stella's problems and the idea he had...
.................
Stella felt like she was in the worst nightmare of her life. It was a rewind of the accident. Except, Mou was sitting where she was. And she was sitting where he was.
She couldn't remember when the nightmare stopped, but it was on repeat. Over, and over she saw the same scene. It played out slightly differently each time. Sometimes Mou dies from the collision, sometimes the explosion would send him into a coma, or directly kill him.
But then, all she saw was darkness. Just nothing. Is this death? Is this peace? She wondered. But she felt her face getting wet.
She didn't want to die, she had fallen in love with someone. Why was her body so weak? Why did her parents experiment with her? Did they hate her? How were her subordinates? She hoped Blair could control her unruly family.
All these regrets all cultivated into one thing. She was thankful to Mou, he managed to drag these emotions out of her. By showing her plutonic love, she felt desires once again, she started to feel... Human.
Then she felt a light encasing in, at first she thought it was going to be the same nightmare from her past. But then she heard some muffled sounds.
"Vitals seems fine, she is breathing without the respiratory machine, all her organs are working as intended. She hasn't opened her eyes yet." The voice was muffled, but slowly it was focusing.
"Stella, Stella! Can you hear us?" A voice, so far, yet so close was calling her...
Stella felt her eyes open, she didn't see the white room as she thought, but rather the room was quite dark.
Stella felt... Strange, her breathing was smooth, she hadn't felt that since she was a child. She tried to get up, but she just felt pain. She gave up as she stayed lying still.
Stella then started to feel suffocated, her breathing became rapid as she went to open her mouth.
But she only felt a strange material blocking her way, she started to panic.
Stella's eyes slowly became bloodshot. As she tried to move, despite the excruciating pain. She managed to kick away the blanket.
"Mmmm." Stella tried to make a sound but it was just muffled, all those years being tortured and experimented on came to her mind...
................
Andy and Mou both sat in the laboratory. After eight months of recovery, Mou was once again healthy. However, he was undoubtedly thinner than before, as he had dedicated himself to help Stella.
"Everything is working as intended, now it is just a matter of if she wants to wake up." Andy said as he sat down and looked over the blueprints for Stella's new organs again.
Mou was desolate in the past six months. He left the business over to Cerim and Lennard as he worked with Andy to create the organs for Stella. While it sounded complicated, he wasn't touted as a genius when he was younger for nothing. Despite knowing nothing about medicine, he was led by Andy to create machinery that would help Stella live once again.
Andy was impressed by the man. If he knew Stella as a genius, he also would be one. He never stopped working, as he often passed out while working then woke up a few hours later to keep working.
But Andy never saw the man cry, he was a married man and knew how tough it would be if he saw his wife in the situation Stella was in. So he was certain, the man was true as mentally strong as rumored.
Suddenly, a red light appeared in the room, and an ear-piercing alarm sounded.
Mou's face blackened immediately, that alarm meant there was a movement in Stella's room...
"Come on." Mou picked up some weaponry and he and Andy rushed across the hallway.
The entire hallway was full of this sound, but since Stella was moved into a secret room under the main Guillard mansion, only they and their grandparents could hear it.
When Mou crashed into the door, he was stunned at the sight. Andy came in after him and recognized the situation immediately.
"No time to waste, take off her bandage around her mouth. Take off anything that is binding her." Andy quickly explained as he took off Stella's bandage around her mouth.
Mou made sure to leave the last thing binding Stella to least, he unclipped the wire and was immediately met with Stella jumping off the bed.
"Shit!" Andy cursed, Stella couldn't afford to do anything physical...
Mou bit his lip as he caught Stella. Resulting in him taking a bite into his shoulder.
Mou closed his eyes, he was taking soft hits from Stella as her hands were carefully bandaged by Andy just for this situation. But Stella, still had her teeth...
"Shh, shh, calm down sugar. Everything is fine now." Mou heard about this from Andy, he thought it was a form of PTSD, although he could never get to the bottom of why Stella acted in this way...
