Stella woke up with groggy eyes. 'When was the last time I slept so well?' She wondered, she didn't have any of her awful nightmares she normally would have, and she felt surprisingly warm...
Stella attempted to move her neck, but realized that it was slightly sore. She then felt a hard surface underneath and her neck was slightly crooked...
"Good morning." Stella's heart almost burst out of her chest when she heard Mou's groggy voice to her side. He was so close to her ear that even when he whispered it made her shiver.
She looked to the side and noticed that Mou was looking at her with a smile. She blanked, 'was he the reason I was so warm?' He wondered, he was a passionate fire compared to her apathetic coldness...
Mou fell asleep late into the night. He made sure Stella was comfortable before falling asleep. He made sure to wake up earlier than her though, the reason?
"You're drooling." Mou whispered into Stella's ear.
The tips of Stella's ear became red. Whether it was from embarrassment or something else... Who knew?
Stella quickly rushed her free hand over to wipe away the drool. She noticed her chin was slightly wet...
'Damn mouth. Why can't you behave yourself for the night.' She felt her heart beating extremely fast right now. And she was struggling to keep eye contact with Mou.
Mou could barely keep away the smile on his face seeing Stella embarrassed. He felt invigorated watching Stella became nervous and embarrassed...
"What time is it?" Stella asked as she attempted to move her head and arm which was wrapped inside a warm casing...
Mou placed his hand on top of Stella's head and tapped her slightly. "We don't need to leave for a few hours. Just get some more sleep." Mou dotingly ordered. As Stella looked up at Mou.
'Don't look at me like that. I might end up doing something I'll regret.' Mou felt his body warm-up seeing Stella's misty eyes looking up at him from her shoulder. Despite being dressed as a man, her eyes were her defining feature for Mou. Her eyes were limitless like no other, it felt like she could see into your soul. She had seen the towering heaven, and the depths in hell in life. She could place your soul like the grim reaper.
"Mmm." Stella was indeed tired still so she made herself comfortable again and closed her eyes. She completely ignored the fact that she was sleeping on Mou's shoulder, her arm was covered by Mou's jacket, and that Mou was looking at her with such bright and enlightening eyes.
Stella was comfortable sleeping for the first time in ten years. She felt warm, she knew Mou could protect her if anything happened...
All these thoughts, and Stella realized her heart was still threatening to beat out of her chest. 'What is this?' Stella was an ignorant being in the love department. She could barely feel emotional when she was told she would die in three months. So would she know what love is?
All she was knew was lust, being in the underworld lust was something that they could take advantage of. 'Am I lusting for Mou? But why? I have nothing I want to take advantage of from him.' And on these thoughts, Stella fell back to sleep.
Upon noticing Stella's steady breathing, Mou breathed a sigh of relief. He had run that scenario in his head many times late last night. Even dreaming some when asleep, but never did he expect Stella to be so... sweet when she was tired.
Mou was in such a blissful mood, that he noticed that Terel was awake. He had seen everything that happened. And he needed to bleach his eyes. Thank god Lennard wasn't there, otherwise, he would have thought Mou had fallen for a man and for Stella...
...............
"Achoo." Lennard sneezed as he opened his eyes. 'Is someone thinking about this forgotten assistant?' He wondered as he saw the mountains of paperwork still left over for him to do...
...............
Cerim was leisurely sitting at his desk, it was quite a boring day today. He just wished that lunchtime could end soon so that he could get some information on what his brother and Stella were up to...
*Knock* 'I wonder if bro has managed to win her heart yet?'
*Knock* *Knock* 'Maybe Lennard found out about her identity and started to separate the two? No, no, no. Lennard wouldn't dare disobey my brother.'
Cerim's eyes widened as he thought of a possibility. "What if she is already my sister-in-law!? My brother could have married her and forced himself on her!"
"What are you on about?" A woman's annoyed voice came into Cerim's ear.
"Mmm, my future sister-in-law." Cerim answered nonchalantly, like the person he was talking to should know...
But that person he was talking to wasn't impressed with the answer. "Sister-in-law? You better not have aimed that title at me." The woman's voice was low and cold. She was quite angry.
Then Cerim broke out of his stupor. He focused on the woman who was standing in front of his desk with the door closed behind her.
A woman wearing professional business attire was standing in front of him. Her long black hair coupled with her blue eyes was extremely noticeable. Her figure was teased with her blouse. Her figure was one that could rival the most popular supermodels, while also being the dream of men. Her blocked heels amplified her height, as she now looked to be almost Cerim's height...
"Haha, Lucy. I wouldn't dare aim that title at you." Cerim immediately crumbled upon seeing who was standing in front of him.
Lucy Pold, the second oldest of the Pold children. A fierce businesswoman, also privately...
"Why is my wife assigned to an artist with so many problems? Do you know how stressed she became when her artists' ex-fiance was found dead?" Her cold and cutting gaze stared through Cerim's skull.
A wife slave, her family knew how both women were deeply in love, so much so that Lucy was planning to leave her Pold name behind to marry Tracy if her family didn't approve...
Lucy loved her family more than anything, but she also loved her wife. And now the rat in front of her was assigning her wife to such troubling artists...
Cerim chuckled, he was used to Lucy's gaze and it didn't faze him. Only his brother and Stella could make him terrified to live...
"Don't worry, it's obvious that the murder was done by thugs. Even the police confirmed the killer was a thug. He had apparently used his name to get stuff done. Then the thug found out and killed him, he didn't want his name to be sullied with a man using his name for women." Cerim was calm as he relayed the information he had received from both his men and the police...
Lucy kept her cold front. *Sigh* "Alright, alright. My sister-in-law also said that this would happen." Cerim also revealed something that had been bothering him since Stella and Mou left.
Lucy rose her eyebrow with interest. "Stella, you might have heard about her from your dear wife. She also is close to Emily, she was at the wedding with us." Cerim mentioned, which gave Lucy all the information she needed.
"Oh? I heard from Emily that Stella hid her identity as a male and you didn't notice... So what's this about her being your sister-in-law?" Lucy had heard many tales about the woman who had ruined the Fude family at the wedding. But she didn't have accurate information since people's lips were sealed.
Cerim smiled, "My brother fell for her." He seemed... Proud?
Lucy was a little startled, but she had picked up on Cerim said earlier. "So she told you this incident would happen?" She asked.
She hit the jackpot. Cerim didn't realize, but Stella had been predicting so many events to happen... So many that it seemed like she was telling them in advance that she would be doing something...
"Yeah, we are positive that she is somehow related to the Bei family. She might have some power which we are unaware of." Cerim didn't reveal everything, but it was enough for Lucy.
Lucy nodded. "Alright, so she is on our side?" She asked, this would determine her wife's safety.
Cerim nodded. "She had been an artist under your wife after all, she trusted Tracy with her female identity as well." Cerim reassured.
Lucy entered Cerim's office with blazing anger, but now she was happy with the development of things. Since the issue was being handled by Cerim and Stella. Then she wouldn't need to bring it up again.
Lucy left through the private exit, what she didn't know. Was that Cerim had orchestrated the conversation to give him some more information.
'She definitely is not related to the Pold family. So is she the head of the Bei family-like bro thought?' He needed to confirm Mou's suspicions. And now he was thinking along the same line as Mou.
Stella wasn't connected to the Pold family, they were the only other family with a vendetta against the Fude family. Also it confirmed that the Bei family was targeting them, when Stella was also with them.
The improbable explanation was that Stella was a spy. But then shouldn't she have made more connections within the Pold family? Also, the attacks by the Bei family were nothing and were weak. They were intercepted by not only them, but also another source...
So that only meant one thing. Stella must be the matriarch, and there must be a power struggle. So she must be trying to get the Guillard family's support, right?
Cerim could only come to this conclusion. But he would have to talk about it to Mou. Since he could have missed something incredibly obvious...
