Stella sat down inside the car with an emotionless face. She didn't seem affected with anything... Mou decided to keep an eye on her for now.
The day once again was uninteresting. Terel drove to their location. Mou went to the meeting. While Stella stayed around, acting as a cold and emotionless bodyguard.
As the sun was setting Mou looked over to Stella as they walked to the car. "Did you eat anything at lunch?" He asked in a doting tone. Surprising Stella.
Stella shook her head. It pained her to talk right now and she couldn't afford to show weakness right now...
Mou was visibly upset. 'How does she take such poor care of herself?' He was vexed. He didn't agree with how poorly Stella cared for her own health...
"Alright." Mou replied coldly. Stella wondered if she did something wrong. 'Why did he ask then reply like that? Was I supposed to eat on the job?' She didn't understand Mou's thinking sometimes.
Mou entered the car in a foul mood. Terel instinctively thought the meeting went badly. Hence why Mou was in a poor mood...
"Go to the nearest restaurant." Mou ordered. Surprising both Terel and Stella.
Terel was silent as he took a glance at his boss. Didn't he know that he still has one more meeting after this?
"Should I drive instead?" Mou's voice was frightening. It was clear that if Terel didn't start driving now. He would be on the end of punishment.
"No boss." Terel answered immediately as he followed Mou's orders. Setting directions for the nearest restaurant in the area.
Stella remained quiet as she leaned against the window. Her brain ended up completely disregarding the pain she was in as another question came to her mind. 'Is he caring for me?' She wondered. As she felt more chest pain...
Terel drove them to the nearest restaurant. It was a slightly run-down building but it was the closest restaurant within 15 miles! And he didn't want to face Mou's wraith...
Mou took a look and frowned. He didn't mind eating at the place. He just wondered if it was good enough for Stella...
Stella took initiative and opened her door. Mou didn't want to wait any longer as he opened his door. Leaving Terel to wonder if his boss woke up a different person for the day...
Mou walked in with his extremely expensive suit. Of course he didn't match the place. But since it was relatively empty it didn't matter.
He walked to a table in the corner by a window and sat down. Leaving Stella to sit down at a table opposite him around five minutes later.
Mou looked at the menu and ordered a drink. The waiter noticed how out of place the man was within the slightly run down building... He wondered if he was interested in investing in the area?
Mou's eyes were glaring daggers as Stella ordered a simple soup. It was in such a small bowl that Mou wondered if Stella had been eating snacks without him knowing...
Truthfully. Stella was finding the experience really awkward. For the first time in her life, she couldn't manage to eat in front of a watching eye. For so many years she ate in that white room that had cameras placed inside. But under Mou's uncharacteristically fiery and discerning gaze. She just couldn't eat much.
Mou took in that Stella didn't eat a lot and felt disgruntled inwardly, maybe he would need to ask Emily some questions later...
For a person that struggled to feel any emotions within her entire life. Stella was extremely nervous after she put down her spoon and saw Mou looking extremely angry. She subconsciously wondered if she did something wrong. But then she realized the thoughts she was having.
'Is this what they call familiarity?' Stella wondered. She hadn't been close to a person since her mother. Even then, it wasn't her birth mother. While her parents used her for some experiments. Ever since escaping, she struggled to feel anything.
But now she felt Mou's scrutinizing gaze and felt slightly guilty. She watched as he finished his drink and paid to leave.
The waiter smiled away from the potential investor. Little did he know, the man was so unfocused on the drink he had. He forgot what it was. Hence he paid the amount it would be for something else. Leaving the waiter a tip despite not doing anything...
Stella left ten minutes after. She left the soup half-eaten and the chef was slightly insulted. The restaurant might not look the best but the food wasn't bad.
Stella got into the car and Terel immediately started to drive back to the hotel. Since Mou would now be late to the meeting he called it off for another day.
Terel wondered if the meeting from before was still on Mou's mind. He looked to be in an awful mood as he worked on his laptop. While he also looked at Stella, who seemed to be asleep.
The silence was deafening. After Terel drove back to the hotel. Mou went to his room to work, and Stella went to her room to recuperate.
"It's almost like... A couple who fought." Terel muttered under his breath. Shaking his head from realization at what he said.
Stella immediately cleaned away the makeup and got into some more casual clothing. She didn't plan to leave her room again. She cleaned away her makeup. Leaving an extremely pale face in her mirror.
*Sigh* Stella sighed. She was starting to feel that Andy's three-month life expectancy for her was hopeful. She felt the rapid deterioration in her body over the past couple of weeks.
It wasn't like Stella wasn't expecting it. She didn't have anything to live for and she wasn't upset at dying. She already placed most of her companies in good hands. And her will was written and prepared for her death bed.
All Stella needed now was her time to be up. She would disappear into the depths of the ground. Never to be remembered again...
...............
"Are you sure she only ate one meal?" Emily's speculative voice asked over the phone.
"Very. I lived with her for a bit. What she is doing now is the opposite of how I know Stella. She wakes up earlier than me most days. But before she only answered her phone at 9am..." Mou was worried. Even Emily could feel his worry over the phone.
Emily sighed, she knew why Mou called her and not his brother. Mou probably thought that it might be something women experienced...
"Mou, it isn't what you think it is. Did Stella seem to be in pain throughout the day?" Emily wanted to confirm with Mou.
Mou thought about it. Stella seemed to be normal apart from not speaking when he asked questions and not eating. "No, she was quite normal." Mou wondered if he was overreacting for something small.
Emily hummed on the phone. "I don't know what to say Mou. The only way to know what was going on exactly would be to ask her. But she doesn't even know that she likes you. So Mou. how do you think about her feelings towards you?" Emily spun the conversation on its head.
Mou frowned. What did he think Stella thought of him? She often joked with him while in the villa. So he often thought that she was quite open to him. But then she stopped joking as much after she returned from disappearing. But then she joked again after a couple of days... She was an enigma, one he couldn't understand.
"Okay, let's put it this way. Do you notice any strange behavior she does when around you?" Emily felt bad for the 'blank sheet' he felt so much for Stella that she wondered how this love came up.
Mou thought again. Now that he thought about it... Stella seemed to be slightly colder to others... She often had a colder look in her eye. While when she spoke to him, she seemed to be at ease.
"Okay, if you've got that then use your gut. If a woman likes someone, then even if they try to hide it. You will be able to figure out their true feelings. Try forcing your kindness on her. Open the door for her. Compliment her, put her before you. Make sure she notices too. If she doesn't then what is the point? She might just brush it off." Emily was getting a little excited. What if Mou could make a breakthrough in their relationship?
Mou kept the advice in his head. "Alright." He ended the call. As he decided to put a new plan together.
