Mou left after washing his hand. While Stella continued to walk back to the homeless shelter with something shining in his eyes.
"Master... Why did you employ that man?" The driver just had to ask, it made no plausible sense.
"Blank." Mou said as he opened a small document next to him, leading to profiles on hundreds of people. All from the Fude family! But, when he came to one name... Nothing, not a picture, not anything.
The driver's face turned serious. "You mean... The team couldn't get any information on him?" The driver asked.
"Mmm, they all came up with nothing." Mou said as he looked at the blank piece of paper with only a name. 'Stella Fude'
....................
"Aw kid! You missed out on the grub!" An older man said as he saw Stella walk in.
Stella smiled. "That's fine." He said as he went over to his area and sat down.
Stella had quickly become the designated child of all of the homeless. Mainly because they could all tell how much younger he was. Also, seeing a younger child who was abandoned by their family... What's worse?
Stella continued the night conversing with the homeless and he quietly went to sleep.
................
The week passed by quickly and it was now the weekend. Stella watched as the homeless pitched in with their weekly amount. He walked up and placed his minuscule amount. He then left to go back to the Fude household.
"Grandson greets master." Stella kneeled as per usual.
"Oh? Does this bastard know who the master is now? I've heard some interesting stories. Like how you haven't been going to school despite me giving you the benevolence to do so?" Father Ku narrowed his eyes.
Stella remained kneeling and continued looking at the floor. "This grandson is a failure. I can't walk a 3-hour distance in an hour." He replied with a shaky voice.
Father ku's eyes went sharp. "I see... You're blaming me? Housekeeper We, what's the punishment for a servant disobeying my orders?" Father Ku asked housekeeper We.
"Master, that servant would be placed in their room and left without food and water for 3 days, not paid for a month, and would be demoted to the lowest class." Housekeeper We replied respectfully.
"Ah, so then. Not going to school... Has cost you this. Bastard get out of my sight!" Father Ku raged at Stella.
Stella hurried out, terrified of the rage from Father Ku...
Stella smiled while outside. It held no malice but rather innate laziness. It was quite captivating on his dirty face.
"There you are you bastard! Get over here!" Ryan shouts at Stella viciously.
Stella's smile evaporates as he lowers his head. Waiting for what will be coming next...
"Come here! Since today will be your first day at work you need to look more presentable. Some clothes were left in your room and there will be someone to take you to the company." Ryan said in disgust, he wanted to see if Stella had any abilities to be used for the company...
"Yes master." Stella replied as he walked off, his eyes staying lazy and uncaring.
...............
"Oh? Does the bastard arrive? Hurry up and get in, the master doesn't have all day." The chauffeur ordered the person who he is supposed to be driving.
Stella opens the door and gets in. 'Hmm, this is rather uncomfortable.' He inwardly thought as he looks at his suit.
Since he would be at the company he would need to be presentable. He was wearing a plain black suit which couldn't cost more than a meal for 4 people. It was cheap, was a little too small for him. And his face was still slightly dirty. To say he was presentable... Wouldn't be the right word to say.
The chauffeur begrudgingly drove Stella to the company, making sure to take many 'shortcuts' along the way.
"Bastard! You're even late to your first day! If we weren't so kind you wouldn't even have this job." Ryan shouted at him right outside the doors of the mega-corporation...
Stella slightly lowered his head.
"Is that the CEO? Why is he shouting at that employee?"
"Doesn't he know where he is working? He turns up with a face like a beggar."
"Humph, the CEO must have been in a good mood to allow a beggar a job."
"Where will he be working?"
"I don't know, I heard from a friend that Steve got fired. He was meant to be one of the best managers in the business!"
The people whispering all had a look of shock on their faces. "That beggar will be replacing Steve!?"
"Puh, who does he think he is!?"
"Bastard, at least he won't need to do any overtime." One employee said, which gave them all great ideas.
Stella ignored the whispers and followed Ryan.
"You will be taking a management role. I expect everything to be done by the end of the day. Since you are working on the weekends you will have fewer resources so I'm expecting some big things... Do you understand?" Ryan explained as they entered a room with an empty desk.
"Yes boss," Stella replied.
Ryan had a gleam in his eyes. "At least you know to not address me as master here. Just make sure it is done." Ryan said as the door slammed behind him.
Stella let loose and his lazy smile appeared on his face. He walked over to the desk and sat down on the chair.
People always thought it was strange that Ryan got the position of CEO instead of his wife, who was the direct descendant. However, Ryan was adept at testing and using people, sucking them dry as the CEO. While his son was just a second-generation young master just capable of picking up women... Little did they know. That most of the CEO's work is done jointly by Ryan and Yuon, and while they hold the position of CEO. Father Ku had majority shares and has chairmen he overlooked the entire business.
People thought Ryan was the person with the brains and power, yet he was actually worse than his son, and kept in check by his father. Hence his work was always heavily criticized.
Stella took the opportunity to lean back on his chair and put his feet on the table. He looked in the drawers and found an old laptop which hadn't been used in years. Some paper and ink, and a small stamp.
Stella laid the laptop on his lap as he leisurely started to use it...
....................
"What is that beggar doing?" Many of the workers on the same floor all had similar thoughts.
Since Stella was placed into a management position he would normally be expected to introduce himself to staff and do some minuscule things... Yet he had gone into the office for 3 hours now and still hadn't gotten out.
One of the employee's face was black. "I need to get this project checked on by senior staff... Does he even know how to do mathematics?" He sneered out loud. Being unable to understand why he was working here.
The others laughed and sneered along. But then they thought of something, if they did their jobs well. But the new manager didn't. Would they get his job?
Now the entire floor was filled with people with ambitions of ruling over the others.
*Knock* Someone knocked on the door to Stella's office.
"Come in." Stella's lazy and raspy voice came through the door. Some of the women in the office felt entranced, but thoroughly shook their heads when they snapped out their dazes.
A worker opened the door to the office without much care, only for his eyes to practically fly out of sockets when he looked at Stella...
