Chereads / Stay With Me, Please [Long Hiatus] / Chapter 3 - Wedding Night

Chapter 3 - Wedding Night

The guests left one by one after Madam Tian had announced that the party was over.

"Jinghao, let's go." Tian Liwei led her to his car and they headed over to their new home.

It was actually Tian Liwei's house. He had always stayed at his parents' house, so the house was always empty. A few maids would go over to clean up a little, but other than that, not a single person would step inside without him being there. His house was even harder to get in than his parents' house. The security was ten times harder to get through. Tang Jinghao thought, "Did they often have assassins break through? That's why it is so secure?"

With a wave of his hands, the gates opened and the car stopped besides the front of the mansion. They walked up the stairs to the door, and Tang Jinghao saw that her husband turned around to look at the line of bodyguards in black suits lined up by the water fountain. They looked very experienced in fighting.

"This is the madam of the Tian family. I want you to all treat her like you treat me. If any of you allow someone to touch a single strand of her hair, I will make you suffer and I will kill you myself. Do I make myself clear?"

The bodyguards simultaneously said, "Yes! Boss!"

To other people, he was cold and domineering. To his wife, he had a gentle look and he would always treasure her. Even if his family was just using her, he would treat her just like a normal loving husband would.

Tian Liwei showed her around the house, and she noticed that he had the same exact antiques as his parents. When they got to the bedroom, she asked, "Are we sleeping in the same room?"

"Yes. You are my wife. And I know what you are thinking. I will not take advantage of you. I will slowly gain your favor during the times we are together. I will never force you to do anything."

She sighed in relief. During her school days, she had never dated anyone because she was so busy with school work. It was even harder for her because she spent years in medical school and she didn't have time to date. But now, she didn't even have the chance to date, and she went straight to marriage. Fortunately, he was letting her off.

"Okay. Thank you."

"No need to thank me. You should take a shower, so you can rest earlier. It's been a long day."

...

After taking a warm shower, she came out with a long, grey sleeping dress and saw her husband laying on the bed sleeping. Her heart melted when she saw that he was considerate enough to put a line of pillows to divide them. He probably knew that she would feel uncomfortable sleeping right besides him.

Tang Jinghao turned off the light. She laid on the bed and fell asleep a few seconds after her head hit the pillow. Tian Liwei opened his eyes and gave a mysterious smile. He went to his study room for the whole night to read company documents. When he came back to the bed, it was already morning. He pulled the pillows out of the middle section and scooted her closer to him. Then, he wrapped her arms around him.

...

An hour later, Tang Jinghao woke up to her hugging Tian Liwei, and the pillows were all scattered on the floor. She started to panic. In all of her life, she never had bad sleeping habits and she never felt the need to hug something to sleep.

She tried to move her arms away from him, but every time she would do it, he would flinch. She was scared to wake him up. What she didn't know was that the man had been awake all along.

Tang Jinghao took a deep breath and pulled her arms away very slowly. Her hand was about to come off of his waist, but he decided to tease her a bit, so he adjusted his elbow and placed it right on her wrist.

There was no way to move her hand without waking him up, so she thought of an idea. However, she would need to tell him a lie.

Tang Jinghao swiftly pulled her hand away and tapped on his shoulder. Liwei turned to face her and acted like he just woke up.

"Could you make sure to keep the pillows on the bed? I think you accidentally pushed them off last night," she lied. It wasn't actually a lie because he was the person who did it, but she didn't know that.

"Are you sure I did it?" He stared at her and pointed to the middle of the bed. Tang Jinghao was on his side, so wouldn't it be more reasonable for her to move the pillows?

She understood what he was trying to point out and said, "I just came closer to wake you up. I don't have sleeping problems, so it wouldn't be plausible for me to move them."

To stop them from talking about it, she changed the subject.

"I'm going to wash up."

"Okay."

She walked quickly to the bathroom and shut the door.

...

After she finished washing up, she went back to the bedroom to get her phone and he told her, "We're going to an auction today. It is in Shanghai, so we'll have to travel by plane. I'm not able to miss work tomorrow, so we can't stay overnight. We'll just attend the auction and come back home."

"Okay. Do I need to pack extra clothes?"

"Yes. Pack a dress you would wear to a special occasion. There will be many wealthy people there. We need to show the fact that our families are the ones on the top. Not theirs."

"Okay."

She packed a small suitcase with makeup, her hair accessories, and her dress. Tian Liwei packed a formal business suit.

They arrived at the airport an hour later and boarded the plane. The two reserved the first class cabin to themselves. It was very pricey, but they were the wealthiest people in the capital, so it was nothing to them.

Because of Tian Liwei's special medical condition, he was able to bring a bottle of a beverage similar to wine. The liquid looked mostly the same, but his was more thick.

At the bar, the bartender poured separate bottles into their glasses.

Tang Jinghao was very observant, so she noticed how Tian Liwei always looked away from her when drinking his glass. He did the same thing at the wedding, too!

"Have you tasted wine before?"

"Yes. I have, but I almost couldn't control myself. When I drink anything with alcohol in it, I start to have an angry mood and I become... uh.. violent or physical."

"Violent? So you have a low alcohol tolerance?"

"Yes. I know it sounds really bad when I describe myself as violent, since it sounds like I'm abusive, but it's not like that. It's hard to explain. All Tian family members have this condition. You don't have to worry about this condition, though, since I don't drink alcohol and I have myself under control."

"It's alright. It must be hard to have this medical condition. I understand. It's okay as long as you don't drink alcohol."

"Thank you for understanding."

The plane landed in Shanghai, and the married couple stepped out of the airport. They went to a five-star hotel to rest and changed into their outfits for the afternoon auction.

Tian Liwei was wearing a dark grey business suit. Most men would be able to tell that it was a suit from ST Charm, a store that would sell stylish but formal suits to men from the top of the highest class. It was very hard to get a clothing from the place because of its high demand from wealthy people all over the world. Every suit from ST Charms had a small cursive J embroidered on the top left chest part. His hair was naturally in good style, so there was no need to change or style it differently. His expensive watch finished the look.

Tang Jinghao wore a long light grey dress that reached her seven-inch heels. She was usually taller than most women, so the heels made her look even taller. However, she still couldn't reach her husband's height. She was still at his neck, when wearing the heels.

Her hair was put into an elegant bun and the diamond hair clip that belonged to every Madam Tian was clipped on top. Loose strands were curled at the sides of her head.

Her dress was embroidered with white flower patterns at the bottom and there were tiny diamonds that were lined all around her waist. The dress was a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. It was as expensive as Liwei's suit and it made her look like a goddess.

She also wore a blue diamond necklace. There was a matching bracelet on her wrist, and matching earrings that glimmered on her ears.

The two wore their wedding rings to show them the partnership of the Tian and the Tang families.
