Matt and Travis entered the dark room with loud sound from the bullet resistant door hitting the wall. Inside was the taxi driver, a man around mid-thirties in his yellow shirt and black short pants. He was blindfolded in a piece of fabric, mouth silenced and hands tightely tied to the chair arms with rounds of duct tape in the middle of an empty room. There, a single bulb hanged just above the chair making rest of the room dark.
Travis couldn't help but shake his head at two mens beside Matt and himself. They both stood crossing their arms as Noah shrugged his shoulder at him while Jackson smirked.
"What's the situation ?" Matt asked turning his head towards them.
"Well..., Diego sent us his moving location. We followed and abducted him pretending being passengers" Noah said sarcastically.
"How could you do that ? And what's with all that tape on his face ?" Travis questioned pointing his finger at the man in the chair.
"H...p me!!! ----- D------ Kn-----" the man tried to scream moving himself with the chair and his head swinging at every direction.
Travis rolled his eyes at them giving up. Jackson moved forward, placing his hand on the Noah's shoulder before he could talk, "Actually I asked him, I mean we asked him if he knew anything about August showing his picture from my phone but he reacted so fast running out of his own cab".
"OKEY ? What about his bruise ?" Travis added.
"That was me. He ran and Jackie here caught him. I was super angry and just asked a simple question: why you running? Then he replied: Piss off!!! I am not telling you s*n of b*tches, pu**ies, bas***ds, .... and he spit at me, A.T M.E ? Can you believe that ?" Noah making wide eyes hyped up mimicking the act.
"Then he deserved it" Matt scoffed. "Fine fine" Travis walked forward on his lazy voice removing the blindfold including duct tape off of his mouth.
"WHO ARE YOU ? WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE ? WHY AM I HERE ? LET ME OUT ..... ..... ..... ?" He tried to run away.
" Woah !!! woah !!! Slow down" Travis stepped back blocking the man with his palms.
"Maybe we should put the tape back on" Noah expressed and all three of them nodded seriously while the man became speechless shaking his head with disagreement. He became quiet reading the faces of his abductors.
"That's good. Remember me ? Now tell us how you know him ?" Jackson showed the man same picture of August zoomed in their group photo.
"Okey, okey" he took a deep breath and confessed with fear, "I, I got a call from an unknown number saying, saying someone will pass by the road shortly and, and to bring him directly from an elevated road to the destination he texted me. He said, he would pay me $500 and I did the same. I was told not to speak a word about the incident. Other than that, I swear I swear I don't know anything. Please, Please I have a family and eight year old daughter. I didn't do anything bad".
"Yea Yea. Act all you can being weak and pathetic. But, you really have a foul mouth. I COULD HAVE TORN THAT DIRTY FACE OF YOURS" Noah jumped at the man when Jackson blocked and held him close.
"Take him out please" Travis asked Jackson and Matt nodded from behind.
"I w.i.l.l kill y.o.u.." The hall outside the door echoed when Noah was being dragged out of that place.
[After a while]
Matt and Travis got out. Noah was pissed waiting at far right in front of the football field, turning his head to an opposite direction.
"What happened ? Anything ?" Jackson asked as fast as he could.
"No, that's all he knew. No matter how much we asked and even compelled, got the same answer. Looked like he was being used" Matt said being disappointed as his head turned towards the Noah.
"Don't worry about him... So ? What we gonna do next ?", Jackson with worry reflected on his hazel eyes asked.
Matt let out his breath shoving his loose dread behind, "Maybe call it a night. We all need to take rest for now. We will continue tomorrow and I am super thirsty".
They compelled the abducted man to forget about the whole incident from that night. They ordered him to return his home safe and sound with his cab parked behind the school by Noah. About the bruise, he fell on stairs by an accident.
"But..." Jackson's face fell. His light brown hair was little messy made into the man bun at low back of his head. Some long strands fell on his medium tone face having small freckles around his high nose.
"Chin up, we need rest to find him sooner. And ? What's going on with Sophie ? Ted ?" Travis said comforting him.
"I sent them home. Ted said he would drop her".
"And why the hell did you guys bring that guy in here ?" Travis jerked his gaze at Noah crossing his arms at Jackson.
"Noah said he knew this secret room underground in the school and it was the safest place for such kind of doings, you know? like today. And, we both graduated from this highschool. I was kinda curious too. I mean, we had to compell only one guard whom I knew and..."
"I got it" Travis stopped Jackson with his stupid talk saving Noah.
"Maybe we should head back. We will go to Vamps, have some stuff to do. You guys should go home too". Matt and Travis walked out of the school premises avoiding the main entrance.
Noah returned back towards Jackson. Noah's S.U.V was left at same place where they abducted the taxi driver inside his own cab miles away. They had to walk home as there was no means of transportations at midnight.
"You wanna head to my apartment ? I mean, your brother ditched you". Jackson laughed so hard. Noah only glared at him.
On the other side, Matt and Travis hopped inside the car parked behind the school wall .
"How come you were so calm ? I saw you being angry and pissed after we found about August in that highway". Travis said adjusting his seatbelt.
Matt only scoffed.
They headed back to the bar from an empty road where only traffic and side street lights were glowing making the brightness of the twinkling stars disappear.
