"It had been decided that Leo Ashton will be deemed innocent for the murder of George Ashton. The judge claimed that it was an act of self-defense to save his sisters from attempted rape from their drunk father. But, Leo Ashton will still be sent to juvenile prison so he can be monitored for a year and be given mental health therapy.
"The mother, Lisa Ashton shall be stripped of her custody over her children as the investigation showed child abuse over the three children. When she was taken away to be locked away, she screamed profanities at the three, like, excuse me for my words, "You fucking useless cunts, you destroyed my life yet again.", it had been decided she will be taken to a mental facility for further examinations as she had shown signs of schizophrenia. "
"As for the twin sisters, the court had decided that they will be sent to an orphanage under the supervision of the Government to let them recover from the traumatic experience.
"Huh? This just in, we have just received news that Leo Ashton will be coming out court — there he is! Excuse me, how does it feel to~"
Leo walked down the stairs of the Court of Justice at a steady pace. He ignored the questions being thrown at him as he had done for the past few months.
His case blew up after it had been reported, and a trial was held if he was to be convicted or not. The law had changed since all those years ago, even a 13-year-old can be sent to prison as 12 is the lowest age of criminals these days.
The entire thing took two months to process and thankfully, with the help of a public attorney he managed to get only a year in prison to be monitored. He also managed to take the custody of his sisters away from their mother, so they should be fine.
He was assured that the orphanage they would go to would be a peaceful one. He was satisfied with that outcome, but the thing he was dissatisfied with was on himself. He had shown his sisters such a sight and scarred them for life, it was the only regret he had in this incident.
But other than that, he was happy with the outcomes.
He was escorted in a protected armored vehicle and he held his head down while a man in black suit and tie took a ride with him on the back. The man cleared his throat and began explaining the situation to Leo.
But, he was too distracted to listen or even comprehend the words being uttered to him. He became mute but he can get the gist of it. Quite frankly, he just didn't care what would happen to him.
It took a while but they reached the juvenile he would be staying on.
"You are proved to be innocent but the public will be warry of you if you do not at least receive mental health care and be monitored. You will be staying here with the other juvenile children, you are to stay here for a year."
With that said, Leo was escorted inside.
Division 3, Area 8 Juvenile Prison. A place where the young criminals go to. Unless you have committed a horrendous crime as a young child, you will always to sent here until you either grow up and reach the age for normal prison or you get out after serving your years.
Leo would stay here for a year, he may not be guilty but it was deemed necessary to show that his actions are intolerable and was sent here for correction purposes.
It didn't take long for the introductions with the warden to end though as he was quickly sent to his room where he met his cellmate.
"I shall check up on upon you once a month. Create trouble and you will really become a criminal here."
The man in black suit and tie was just about to leave when he stopped him and asked about the current state of his sisters.
"It had been two months since I last saw them. Can you please let me know if they are alright?"
The man looked at Leo and promised that he will.
"I will send you monthly reports with my visits."
When the man left, he began to think about how strange the young man name Leo truly is.
'He's a strange young child. He worries not about himself but his sisters, what a kind man, but with his records. The road ahead is bleak."
Leo understood very well of his position and he only needs to play nice with the inmates for him to get out of here in one year's time. But, the very next instant the warden left and the guards patrolling the area disappeared, his cellmate called out to him.
"New guy, what is your name?"
"My name is Le—"
"Hey, new guy, why don't you come and give me a massage?"
Leo was a smart person, more so than he would believe. He was cut short meaning they do not see him other than fresh meat. He should fear them, that should be the best course of action to take.
He flinches, an action he always did to show how scared he was against his father. Moving closer to the brawny man who seemed like an old bodybuilder than a young man Leo moved to his back and then began rubbing his shoulders.
The young innate was overjoyed at Leo's cowardice and he smiled like an idiot. After a while of relaxing under the joyful massage he was being given, the young inmate asked something he would rather not know.
"New guy, I interrupted you earlier but what was your name again?"
"It is Leo."
"Mine is Ryan, you're a pretty good massager. I bet you have done this several times, if you do t his every day without complaining I would be willing to help pass your days without much trouble, how about it?"
"That would be most favorable, yes. I have done this several times for my father in the past so I am pretty used to it."
"Haha, good, good, I like you already, by the way, what did you do to end up here? From your looks, I reckon it must be something like stealing?"
"...It is nothing like that."
"Oh, I am interested in it now, so what is it?"
"...Murder."
What did you get into to end up here? Hehe, I sent seven people to the hospital after they gang up on me. Though they were nothing. Such is the next line of Ryan, but his words ended up stuck in his throat, he was unable to speak and even breathing became harder.
Fighting, brawl, getting hurt, hurting someone, all of these are something that could hurt someone. Anyone can do them, but murder is different.
No matter how much a petty thug acts like a cold-blooded killer he will never be able to take anyone's life. Why? Because taking someone else's life means you have taken a step into the darkness.
If you hurt someone you can apologize, and if you come into understanding the worst you can get is pay a fine for the medical bills or go to juvenile for a few months.
You will never be able to erase that, apologize as you might you can never reverse what you have done. It is a done deal and it will be etched in your name forever.
And upon hearing the crime he had done, Ryan began to shake in fear. In this juvenile, no one has any case of murder. They are sent somewhere else or is held within an isolated cell.
Ryan gulped down saliva and he made a dry laugh as he tried to salvage his courage.
"Haha...you must be joking,,, right?"
Leo did not speak and an eerie silence pervaded the air.
"I am not joking. I killed a bastard to protect my sisters from being raped, I punch and punch until his face is mutilated and he no longer possesses anymore danger to my sisters, I punched him until he stopped breathing. Hays, I still remember, that man also asked me to give him a massage such as this...do you like it?"
After their first encounter, Ryan would never be able to look at Leo's eyes and rumors about Leo would circulate. Until the final days of Ryan in that juvenile prison, he was on the verge of pissing himself every single time he meets the eyes of Leo.
By the time three months passed and he managed to get out, he was already a changed man, far from the brash young man he used to be.
He was now a beast that had its fangs taken away.
And as for Leo, he continued his days oblivious to what he had done only focusing on what is the current situation of his sisters; and only smiling when he receives any good news.
Six months inside the juvenile prison and therapy made Leo capable of smiling. He didn't want to smile but he was required to do so in order to show he was getting better.
Eight months and he began showing interest in learning about the current events of the world. He read articles from politics to discoveries of new species of a Horned Rabbit.
Ten months and he was showing conversational abilities that he had not shown prior and after twelve months, he was finally out and ready to reunite with his two sisters.
