Jack sighed looking at the upset girl and held her chin gently, pushing her face up to make her look at him. As soon as the girl looked at him, with her big brown eyes another tear slid down from her eyes, making Jack's heart wince in pain. "I am sorry Eva. I did not mean to make you cry. Look I am absolutely fine." The boy smiled a bit assuringly.
Eva jerked away the boy's hand from her chin and opened the book yet again, not even looking at the boy. "You are not allowed to stress yourself so much. Go and sit on the bed." She spoke in a meek yet authoritative tone.
"But Eva.. I..." Jack was yet sitting in the arm rest, trying to explain himself as the girl angrily turned to look at him.
