Chapter 41 - Their opposite worlds....

"Eva my dear neice, you already know, how much we all love you. I still remember the day I held you in my arms the first time!" Emily's father and Eva's uncle spoke up, wiping away his moist eyes. "You fulfilled my wish to have another daughter! Emily always wanted a best friend and a younger sibling too. Today when I look at you both and the bond you share, I get immensely happy and proud!"

Eva smiled looking at her elder sister, who in return was already showering her mushy kisses all over Eva's face. "I am going to miss you my sweetheart. You are such an amzing person! I really hope you get whatever you want in your life." She planted another kiss on her little sister's cheek, caressing her head.

Amongst the happy and sad conversations, the entire family ate the meal together already making plans to visit Eva's new home very soon. Eva was also discussing happily her shopping plans, her work schedule and her after work plans with Emily.

In contrast to Jack's lonely evening, the girl was always surrounded by her happy, supportive and loving family that always stood behind her like a solid wall!

Meanwhile...

7:45 pm..

Jack was already driving back to his home, in complete silence inside the car. As compared to a music lover that he was 7 years back, he now preferred to drive in complete silence thiking about several things. He often wondered, how his parents must be doing now and then he would search the tabloids to get the latest news about them. Reading his father's mearger deals or his mother's new social, page 3 events, gave him a satisfaction that his parents were alive and hearty and also happy without him!

He often avoided social gatherings in common groups or business circles, to prevent himself to come across his parents. Though somewhere deep in his heart he still loved them and longed for their presence in his life, but he knew having them in his life was more torturous than not having them around! Many a times, he pondered how should he react if any day he comes across a moment that both his parents are standing in front of him? Should he ignore them upon seeing them after seven years or should he just hug them out of general basic manners?

The boy always pondered about this awkward meeting as if he knew that someday he will have to meet his parents and he will be standing all alone once again, while the entire world will be on his parents' side supporting them.

As soon as the boy drove past his parents' house a tear dropped down from his eye and he quickly wiped it away, taking deep breaths. His house was after all just 15 minutes away from his parents' house and he was bound to cross it every morning and evening while on his way to work and then back to his home.

Everyday was just the same to him. A tear would drop down from his eye everytime he crossed the house and he would wipe it away quickly, as if he was trying to hide his own emotions from his own self.

The man was in constant denial, of how effected and vulnerable he still was from whatever happened in his past!
