The guy who initially started the negotiation with Rina, was actually a classmate of her. He was a literal child, just like her. When she first saw her approaching him when she was marketing, she had no clue how devastatingly her life was about to change.
His name was Christian O'rin. But everyone in her class called him Drippy, he always had a drippy nose. He was always bullied by kids who was bigger than him.
Most possibly, Rina thought, he was bullied into doing this. He had no choice, but did that matter? All that matter to her was how to bring her father back home, in one piece. Chüno, was the least powerful gang in the capital. Because they didn't try to climb politically nor try to get a good standing in military like others in the capital syndicate organisation, Six7s. Out of the 6 groups in Six7s, only they were neither under military guidance nor under political influence.
They roamed around doing whatever the hell they wanted to do. Rina heard from some kids in her class, they are pure evils, they skin faces off from people who crosses them, and visit those people's family wearing that skin-face as a mask, before killing them too. Just to make sure that if you were family to a "nuisance" to them, the last thing you'll see is a loved one killing you, or rather a dead loved one's face. They never had their own laws, which if you didn't follow, it's most likely for you to die.
But how could a gang so heinous roam free? Well, every other leader from the Six7s were high end officials for their city, and the biggest one of them, Roberto, was a diplomat for their whole country. Their inclusion in six7s alone was enough for all kinds of leniency from justice.
But Rina thought, didn't recently there was a rumour that six7s were about to abandon Chüno for some reason? yes, the newest chüno leader isn't well liked because...., it all came flooding to her head. She was almost at the drop off location and it took THAT LONG for her to realise. Shit.
The newest leader of Chüno, more like the one who was about to be appointed as chüno's head, was Rayan. Rayan was Rina's father old friend. She used to call him uncle. How could Rayan's underlings kidnap a district head without him knowing? Her father was supposed to be in Town Hall of Sadhapara for three days. He would be with high alert security. Few lousy kidnappers can't take him away.. or rather, even if they DID take him away, they would never contact her with a literal twelve year old. That's shire stupidity. But a twelve year old can't process all that in spot when you live in the most crime affiliated city in the country and hear your father's gone missing. It's not her fault is it? Her father could've just taken and lived with her in the other side of the city. He didn't out of prejudice towards all the injustice that happens there, naturally she always thinks and craves into fear like people around her. She knew by the moment she reached the stairs of the only market in her side of the city, this had to be a set up. Just one floor away, that's where the drop off is supposed to happen.
But can she risk it?
What if this isn't a set up, what if it's true that her father's inside the games store in second floor? She couldn't risk it. It's too much of a big decision for her to make. She should do what she'd been told. At least that's how her father raised her.
As she walked into the store, the moment she pushed the door, she knew. Her father wasn't here, and this was not a normal store. The lights were on, video games and consoles were everywhere. Ironic, not a single person in this neighborhood have enough financial stability to buy a single game, let alone any of the other materials in the store. It's too high end.
And sure enough, there was no one in this store. Except a guy, crisscrossed legs on a chair, reading, The Great Satsby, right opposite of the entrance, as if he was waiting for someone to get in.
Long thick silky black hair in a perfect man bun, soft looking skin. A single scar above his right eye. It was her "uncle", Rayan.
