Once done with discussing the plan, Viosus couldn't contain all the emotions piling up within his heart. It slowly became difficult for him to keep a cool head. Every time he thought of his master, his heart ached like a million stone was crushing him. He remembered his promise to protect her forever and they would never be apart but now, he had failed that promise miserably.
Days after days, their unity was delayed and delayed. The longer the wait, the bigger the darkness and fear clouding over him.
Viosus had never been the one to show his emotions. From a young age, he understood the heavy-duty he had to take to serve and protect the only family he had. Even before the late master passed away, he had always been the silent pillar of the clan, the stone that tied them together. And Viosus himself knew that he couldn't let his master and his clan member down.
But then what he was afraid the most had happened, he couldn't protect them. When he was gone, his family was annihilated in a blink of an eye.
Before all of that, Viosus had always kept a certain distance to watch over his master. His feelings for Yilas had been growing as he watched her grow and bloomed into a beauty. But then, apart of him was still confused thinking it was his loyalty and his responsibility that created those impure feelings.
But after holding Yilas's lifeless body within his arms, seeing her blood bleeding through his hand, Viosus experienced one of the worst pain in his entire existence. He remembered vividly the tightness in his throat, his limbs were shaky and weak, his chest had felt like somebody had punched a hole through it. The excruciating mental pain had felt worst than any physical one.
Going through that moment was when Viosus realized, his feelings toward Yilas was more than that of a loyal servant. If she was lost then he had no reason to live. And if she was lonely on her path to the death's sea, he wouldn't hesitate a moment to accompany her every step. For there was only a single meaning in his life was when he was with her. Viosus couldn't pinpoint when he had indulged himself so deeply into her existence that they were connected like that of two half of a hand. One shone brightly under the sun, the other always hide deeply in the shadows, watching over the other half.
The second time he had to lose her, Viosus had developed a huge ball of anger and hatred. He watched her being taken away and to this day, still couldn't find his way back to her. Drowned in his own self-incrimination, Viosus walked out of the house after their discussion was turned into an argument. Days by days he felt his temper shortened, like a ball being pumped with more air, it had no other way but to explode. And Viosus was only inches away from the explosion.
Mindlessly walking on the street, Viosus had passed many man-beasts. They had recognized and called for him but he was in a space of his own. And before he knew it, he bumped into something and knocked it over, returning his mind to the place he was physically present.
"Ahhhh!" A loud and high-pitched scream came from a female beast that appeared to be the victim. Her dress was short and her top was barely covering her twin mountains. Moreover, the fell made her skin even more exposed.
The street wasn't crowded but it wasn't empty either. Many beasts stopped their tracks as soon as they heard the noise, nosily watched over where it was coming from. Before Viosus could come back to it and tried to help the female, she had been helped up by another beast-man.
Once standing straight up, the female face was scrunched up like a dried grape, angrily searching for the daredevil figure that had harmed her.
"Who dares to touch me? How could anyone cause much pain and shame to the most beautiful female in this entire clan? You must be blind to not notice a rare flower right in front of you!" She pouted her lips, her face was red with anger, she couldn't believe someone would dare to hurt her.
The female beast named Grindy, she was the spouse of Harmon, the Lion beast who was almost double her age. She was Harmon's pride and joy since such a beautiful and young female chose him. But little did he know, she had only chosen him for his status and power, not because she liked him. But since Harmon was so happy, he treasured his spouse like the most precious gem on earth, contributing to her infamous horrible attitude and snottiness. He was so shameless to the point where he was forcing any males she liked to become hers, either with bribes or violence.
"It was me, please forgive me, lady." Keeping a neutral expression, Viosus bent down at a 45-degree angle to show his condolences. Of course, his elegant movement and his beautifully refined features caught Grindy's attention immediately. She suddenly shook off all the help of the other males and pretended to fall onto Viosus arms. As a force of habit, he caught her with his sturdy arms.
Viosus was surprised for a second since he saw it through all of the female act but he couldn't just let her fall on the ground. The female in his arms placed her hand on her forehead, pretending to had fainted.
Awkwardly caught in a tough spot, Viosus looked over to the males nearby for help but as soon as they tried to get the female off of him, she jumped straight up.
"Ayyyyoooo, look at my clothes, all of my skin is exposed to you and you are not even my spouse! You even hold me skin tight in your arms! This is so embarrassing, how can I continue to live on with such shame!"
Suddenly the female shrieked up her sour voice, she fake cried and yelped as if she was wronged deeply. Using her hands to cover up the smirk on her face but her voice still screeched as if she was crying.
More beasts gathered around and surrounded them, now Grindy had had a crowd as her witness, she could continue with her devious plan.
"This is so shameful, this is injustice!" She cried and screamed on the ground as Viosus just stood there with a cold expression.
It didn't seem like it was the first time the female had acted this way, she was manipulating the perception of the beasts around her, making such a drag out of the situation.
Viosus's temper hadn't been good lately and now, this female was trampling on his every nerve.
