Porsogon's opened his eyes to found himself in his bed. He had just opened his eyes and his body and head had already been in excruciating pain. He gently lifted his head and tried to get up, only to immediately laid back down again, grunting in pain.
"Ugghhh..."
"Brother!" A familiar voice came to Porsogon's ears, Neo quickly came to his brother's side and lifted him to a more comfortable position. "How are you feeling?"
Porsogon didn't answer instead, his gaze dozed off somewhere far away.
"I didn't kill him... Neo, where is my father?" Porsogon suddenly mumbled a few words and gripped onto Neo's arms, his hold was extremely forceful and filled with anger and scare.
Neo looked sad in the face, his yellow bright eyes were not so crystal clear as always, it dimmed a dark shadow of grief. The beast shook his head from side to side, waving his golden blonde locks.
"H-he... The master had already passed. We couldn't save him that day."
Porsogon tightened his palm into a fist, his brow furrowed deep. Even the cold, icy Porsogon couldn't hide the emotion on his face right now. Neo tended to him and consoled him about his father's death. However, not long later, Viosus interrupted them, bringing in some food and water as if the devil told him Porsogon had wakened up.
"Vio!" Neo exclaimed as he saw Viosus walked in the room without knocking.
Porsogon immediately retracted all the emotion on his face as if nothing had happened.
"Uhm... I thought I should get you some food..." Viosus spoke in a low soft voice, he wanted nurse Porsogon back to health as soon as possible so they could return to the Goat's city. Viosus placed the food on a platter on top of the wood table in the middle of the room.
With Neo aiding him up from the side, Porsogon managed to get off the bed without much difficulty but he soon realized his body was stiff mainly because of a cast around his torso.
"How long have I been out?" Porsogon picked up the food, it was some roots, most definitely nutritious for his recovery.
"About... 3 days or so?" The hand that Porsogon used to bring the food to his mouth was frozen for a second, it had only felt like a few hours in his sleep, he thought.
The atmosphere of the room sunken once again as Porsogon continued to finish his meal, all of the beasts were hesitant to speak up. Once Porsogon was done, he chucked the cold bowl of water and shoot up standing all of a sudden.
"Brother!" Both Neo and Viosus were in shock, especially Neo who also jumped off his chair. "Take it easy!"
"Doctor said you should rest until the bones are healed." Viosus calmly chimed in.
"I feel fine, there are too many things that need tending to." With that said Porsogon walked out of the room in a flash. Neo and Vio immediately ran after him and got caught up with Sabal on his way coming there.
"What's with that one?" Sabal asked as he quickly dashed behind them, the three walked side by side as they followed the young boar who was still in the wooden and clay cast.
"Don't know!" Neo answered, showing worries on his face "We couldn't stop him, he's like that after he woke up."
Viosus's emerald green eyes still glued to the young beast's back, he was sure the doctor said the beast wouldn't be able to move for at least half a month, now the same beast was running faster than a little agile cub. He thought this beast's recovery speed was something to be reckoned with.
"Should we tell him? You know, about his father?" Sabal whispered as if he was scared to let the words reached the Boar.
Neo furrowed his brows and stared at his feet, he felt guilty for making his brother acted out like this. He thought maybe his brother had become emotional and was trying to find his father.
"I-I... I to-told... him..."
"You what?" Sabal faked gasping, looking at the youngster's scare to death face, he couldn't halt the teasing. "Even I know that it is too cruel. Are you even his brother anymore?"
The more Sabal nagged, the more miserable Neo looked, his eyes became red as if he was about to break down to tears. Sabal kept saying things to Neo, taunting the little soft side of his but Viosus didn't bother helping Neo with the bullying, he was too focused on the target in front of them.
Many beasts who they had passed by were also acted in shocks, some ran away as soon as they see the sight of Porsogon. But that didn't stop Porsogon's path, after 15 minutes of walking, the four of them reached the headmaster's house. Only this time, the old headmaster's seat had already been empty.
Without any door, the bunch didn't take long to pass through all the guards, all of them bowed down respectfully to Porsogon as he walked past them. Unlike the usual bows to show their admiration, these were the formal etiquette of a lower rank to their leader.
"Master!"
"Headmaster!"
Some beasts called out to greet Porsogon but he didn't stop his feet, he walked toward the main house where all the elders and family heads gathered in an instant.
From 10 steps away, their voice had been heard as clear as day, seemed like they didn't waste any time to bicker among themselves.
*Thud*
Porsogon stomped his feet one time when he had just arrived at the door and the herd of beasts instantly regained their composure. All eyes were on the young leader, followed him was another three young beasts.
"Master!"
"Headmaster!"
Some elders immediately showed their support, they bowed their heads and welcomed their new head to his seat. While some distinctively showed their annoyance, crossing their arms in front of their chests, huffing, and puffing.
"Psskk... what are you old beasts bowing for? Just another youngster wanting to disturb our court." An tall and beefy looking old Lion spoke, he had a lion head in a human body, crossing his arms around his meaty chest.
Many of his allies also nodding their head in agreement, some was yapping nonsense, talking bad things about Porsogon. But it didn't bother Porsogon, he expected rebellions among the old minions of his father's court. It was up to him to plug off the old, withered grass and planted new ones.
"Kneel! Before I sent your grandchild to be a meat shield, old man Harmon." Porsogon glared down to the old Lion head man, his icy blue orbs were as fierce as an ice sword, striking great fear to a grown beast-man. After some resistance, Harmon yielded and placed on of his knee on the ground, the painful expressions on his face showed it was much of a shameful act.
As soon as Harmon obeyed Porsogon's order, all the other beasts who were just chimed in like little birds now all flopped down like dominos. None of them dare to look up to their new head.
Porsogon withdraw his murderous intent, he walked calmly yet dignifiedly, anyone who dared to question his position shall have no mercy. Porsogon swept through his father's old chair with his long pale fingers, he swallowed his grief because the day he sat in this chair his father had no longer able to see him.
After the court had settled, Neo, Sabal, and Viosus quickly tugged themselves into a corner of the room, furthest away from Porsogon. Over 30 beasts split evenly into both sides forming two parallel lines, ending with Porsogon closest to the wall and furthest away from the only entryway. The closer the elder to the head's seat, the higher the ranking of the family, the higher their importance to the clan.
Porsogon took a deep breath and sat on his father's seat, his scent still lingered onto the place. He gently sat down, his face as emotionless as ever but inside, he was screaming in pain because of his wounds. Not even a second later, Porsogon had raised his voice again, this time shocking the whole court.
"Helen! Come forward!"
