"Ahhh"a loud scream from Qiao Nuo interrupted Yi Chien's deep sleep. "What happen?"Yi Chien grumpily asked "Oil Splatter"she replied, then Yi Chien simply stare at her in disbelief. "You woke me up because of oil splatter?"Yi Chien asked "Well yeah"Qiao Nuo said then Yi Chien proceed to grabbed the nearest rug. "You wipe it with this, no need to scream."Yi Chien said as he wipe the oil splatter next to the stove while Qiao Nuo went ahead to finish what she's cooking.
Yi Chien stared at the fried egg in front of him, with steam rice on the side. "I really hope I can survive with only this for a month."Yi Chien said as he pick up his chopsticks. "If you don't like it don't eat it."Qiao Nuo said proudly grabbing the plate away from Yi Chien. "Did I say I don't like it?"Yi Chien asked taking the plate again.
The couple later arrived at the site after, Qiao Nuo was already sweating from the heat while Yi Chien kept his cool the whole time. "Here's the print of the building."Yi Chien said looking at Qiao Nuo. "Song Yi Chien, do you really expect me to understand that?"Qiao Nuo asked "Did I say you need to understand it?"Yi Chien asked as if Qiao Nuo is testing his limit once again. "I'll explain it"Yi Chien said translating everything into general term so Qiao Nuo can understand the process.
Yi Chien lean on Qiao Nuo's shoulder and spoke as clear as possible. "Song Yi Chien, can't you explain the material without leaning on me?"Qiao Nuo questioned "The machine is loud, you might not hear me if I'm not close"Yi Chien smirked then went ahead to finish explaining. "What do you think?"he asked "It's not that bad."Qiao Nuo replied trying to think of a much smarter comment but failed. Yi Chien chuckled seeing Qiao Nuo's expression, it was something unfamiliar for him to see.
Qiao Nuo watch the work in front of her, while trying to keep her balance. It was a rocky path different from Qiao Nuo's usual law firm walking path. "Song Yi Chien, are you trying to test my patience?"Qiao Nuo seriously asked, they're only halfway through the day and Qiao Nuo looks so done.
"I guess you never visited your father's workplace before."Yi Chien said "Never"Qiao Nuo said as she tried her best to walk properly. Going inside the building, Qiao Nuo eyed at the construction elevator in front of them. "Let's go, we need to check what's going on upstairs."Yi Chien said. "Are you sure it's safe?"Qiao Nuo said "I could take the stairs"Qiao Nuo suggested "19th floor? you can do that on your own."Yi Chien teased.
"Let's go, it's safe. Cheng Han came in this morning to check everything"Yi Chien said. Qiao Nuo hesitated for a moment before she got pulled in by Yi Chien. The elevator was about to closed when a group of workers approached it. Qiao Nuo stare at Yi Chien trying to hint to close the door. "You can come in, we still have some space."Yi Chien said in his friendly tone.
Grabbing Qiao Nuo's waist so he can face her "Save space"Yi Chien murmured as he hold her into a hug position. Close enough that they can hear each other's breathing. "What floor?"Qiao Nuo said trying to control herself from hitting Yi Chien. "10th floor"he replied. The workers who know what's going on tried to ignore the couple's position.
Qiao Nuo pushed Yi Chien as far as she could after the workers stepped out. "You!"Qiao Nuo said pointing at him "Are you trying to get even with me? quit teasing me."she protested. "I'm not."Yi Chien chuckled trying to dust off his shirt that came out of Qiao Nuo's hands.
