Tears streamed down her face as she tried to furiously shove her hands out of the tightened ropes. A cloth gagged her mouth. Being kidnapped for the second time brought another level of fear to Larika. Since she had not been staying in the empress' quarters anymore, no one would be concerned to even check if she is in her room or not.
Somebody hit her head from behind and bagged her head. They bound her hands and feet with a rope. And she did not have a clue what happened next. The sun was still setting the last time she went out of the banquet hall to see Grandma Era's statue, but she is now in a very dark place. They had taken off the sack on her head and there was not even a torch to light the dank room.
