"Let me make it clear," the West emissary started. "As the emissary of the West Kingdom, I, Elder Hion, hereby ask for the South Kingdom's crown.
"You have proven yourself worthy of the position, but your powers are not comparable to the Spirit Master of the West. I suggest that you willingly obey the West's Spirit Master so as to spare your damaged kingdom."
Elder Hion stood up from his seat and straightened his back. He did not care about Elisha behind him. All those who heard him raised their brows. Damaged kingdom? Who said that their kingdom was damaged?
The sudden declaration made Theoden crush the cup he was holding. Surrender? The crown? Wouldn't that be an insult to his daughter who fought the emperor? She did not even fight for the crown but just passed by while rescuing someone!
Surrendering the crown would mean surrendering the whole kingdom!
