The night sky was filled with millions of stars but there was no hint of the moon. The view of the dense forest made the night appear even darker than it probably was.
Emily stood near the window of Kaiden's bedroom in the Sullivan mansion, her eyes focused on certain wolves that were guarding the perimeters of the mansion where most of the Silver Wolf Pack was currently living.
"It's making me kind of jealous to see you watching another wolf this intently," Kaiden whispered the words as he appeared behind her and his arms immediately found their way around her waist, pulling her back to rest against his chest. "How about you turn that attention toward your mate?"
A smile bloomed on Emily's lips as she turned her face to the side, causing his lips to graze her cheek. His warm breath fanned her skin and all she could do was focus her eyes on his shoulder as she asked - "You finished the work?"
