"You..." Roselyn tried to speak but she was at a complete loss for words. He had so easily left her stunned with his words, ones that she wasn't expecting to hear from him.
"What is it?" Kaito asked when he noticed her hesitating while speaking. The way he was looking at her made it pretty clear that he was expecting a response from her for his confession.
Roselyn remained silent as she studied the vampire for a couple of moments. Finally, she took a deep breath before breaking the silence as she asked, "Why are you like this?"
Kaito was clearly taken aback by her unexpected question which he failed to understand. "I... What are you trying to ask?" He observed her closely as if he was ready to catch every single change in her expression.
