Chapter 11 - The Four Great Houses

The first shop they entered was the book store where Roselyn found all the course books that she needed for her first year. Xander also bought a lot of other stationery products for her that he thought she would need.

And when it was finally the time for payment, Roselyn found out that the Shadow Royal family was bearing all her expenses.

So when they stopped at a convenience store next for her to buy some daily necessities, she didn't even try to hold back at all. She added everything in her cart that she found good enough to use whether it was expensive or cheap.

They were soon done with their convenience store shopping and the next shop they had on their list was the store selling Shadow Academy's uniforms.

"There are four houses in Academy - Elite Blood which is also divided into two classes. The first class consists of the Royal Bloods and since Crown Prince completed his academic studies last semester, Prince River is currently the only person in the first class... other than you."

Roselyn didn't miss the pause that he took before admitting that she too now belonged to the highest class of the Academy besides Prince River.

"The second class of Elite Blood consists of those students who belong to the five noble families of the Shadow Realm." Xander continued as the two of them walked through the bustling streets.

"The second house is called Warrior Blood. All the students who want to join the Shadow Guards Team of our realm are the ones in this house."

"Magik Blood is the house with all those students who carry special shadow powers and are experts in different magical professional fields."

"Last but not the least, Shadow Blood. They are called that because they are the future of our realm. The ones who aren't interested in either politics or want to be warriors. They just want to do business, become professors, or professional artists, engineers, doctors, or something like that."

Roselyn listened silently as the man taught her more about the Academy and generally about Shadow Realm. She had finally started to see the differences and similarities between the two realms.

They finally found the store they were looking for and went inside to buy her Academy uniform.

"The color of Elite Blood House is blue, Warrior Blood - Black, Magik Blood - Yellow, and Shadow Blood - Red. So, your uniform will be in blue." Xander informed her as he rang a bell sitting on the reception counter.

Considering blue was her favorite color, Roselyn was looking forward to trying her Academy uniform.

The manager of the store appeared soon with a group of employees following after her. "Lord Xander, how can I help you?" The woman asked as she bowed in greetings.

"This lady here needs Elite Blood House's Academy uniform," Xander responded as he nodded in Roselyn's direction.

The look that the store manager gave her clearly told Roselyn just how curious the woman was to know her identity to be a part of the Elite bloods.

"May I know the name of this young lady... I'll go and get the uniform now, hehe..." The woman hurriedly disappeared to some unknown place when she noticed Xander's sharp glares as a result of her being nosey.

It didn't even take two minutes before Roselyn was ushered into a trial room and was given a pair of brand new uniforms to try on.

"The Elite house uniform is made of the highest quality fabric. It will adjust to your size once you will try it on." The manager informed her as she signaled Roselyn to take off her dress.

Roselyn arched her eyebrows as she looked at the woman with questioning eyes. Her signal was pretty clear - for the woman to leave the room.

"Oh, okay. I... I'll wait outside." The woman once again hurriedly disappeared from the scene.

As she was finally alone, Roselyn took off her dress and put on the uniform. It consisted of a white blouse, a dark blue pleated skirt that ended on her mid-thigh, a blue and white striped tie, knee-length white socks, white shoes, and a full-length blazer that ended just an inch above the hem of her skirt, there was also dark blue colored shorts to wear under the skirts.

Roselyn couldn't deny that she loved the way she looked in the uniform. The way every piece of fabric molded around her body in perfect proportions made her curves stand out and her long strawberry blonde hair and amber eyes only increased the appeal of her beauty.

She never thought that she would look this good and sexy in a uniform but again, life's all about surprises.

She called the manager and the woman squealed slightly after seeing Roselyn in the uniform. "Just perfect."

She hurriedly tried on the second uniform which was a light shade of teal unlike the dark blue color of the first uniform. She looked at the manager in confusion.

"The students of the Elite Blood House are allowed to pick a different shade of their house color for a second uniform that they can wear on the club activity days. And something about you is telling me that this is the shade that will suit you the most." The manager answered.

Roselyn returned her attention to the uniform that she was holding and she couldn't deny that she loved it even more than the first one. The fabric was so soft that it almost melted away through her fingers. "Thank you."

After ten minutes or so, she and Xander were already leaving the store after payment as they headed to a pet store to make their next purchase.

"How are we going to get all those stuff back to the academy? We didn't bring any transportation and just two of us won't be able to take everything." She suddenly asked as they crossed the book store on their way to the pet shop.

"Don't worry. The shops will make sure that all your purchased items are sent to the Academy within the next two hours of the purchase. You will find all your stuff waiting in our living room." Xander answered as he pulled her into a dark alley that was way quiet and less crowdy than the rest of the market.

"Now let's buy you a shadow beast."
