Don't Say A Word

It was on my summer break when I decided to move out of my family's house and find some place to live by myself since my college was located far away from my house and travelling would take about 3 hours, so I needed to wake at 4 in the morning just to go for my classes. My boyfriend, Ryan, asked me if I would like to live at his house but I declined and asked him to find me a nearby apartment where it is cheap. My boyfriend and my family helped me with the moving. When I first stepped into the apartment everything seems normal but somehow the air feels so cold as if it was the winter wind but I decided to brush it off , thinking that all I needed was to adapt to the new surroundings. As I was about to close the door, a hand reached out towards the door nob and stopped me from closing. To my surprise it was the land lady, she told me that she was there just to tell me the details I need to take note such as the bills. However she told me something that I cannot forget until this day, she wispered into my ears, "Don't say a word about "it" if not he will go for the next person.".
