Chereads / The Immortal Poison Doctor and Her Cutie / Chapter 7 - The Deep Five Toxins Forest

Chapter 7 - The Deep Five Toxins Forest

Ten days later.

In the depths of the Five Toxins Forest, Su Ruoxi sat down under an old tree. She was covered in dirt and her forehead was covered with sweat. In front of her was a gigantic level eight spiritual beast, the saber-toothed poisonous tiger…

"Just because you are a tiger does not mean that I will be afraid of you! Hmph, you are still going to end up as my dinner!" As Su Ruoxi was speaking, she plucked out two of the tiger's teeth which carried strong poison and threw them into the realm…

Ten days ago, because she could finally cultivate. She sat on the spot and was overjoyed for a long time. Then, she went back into the realm to sleep.

Originally, she wanted to leave this forest after waking up and return to the original body's Prince's mansion.

When she woke up and left the realm, she set off and started walking. Who knew that after walking for a long time, she realized that she was lost — she had been walking around in circles…

It was clear that she was trapped in some kind of maze formation, but she didn't know what to do. She had no knowledge of array formations. She stood in her spot for a whole day; she stared at the sun set and rose again. Su Ruoxi was finally sure that she was trapped in a maze formation. On the bright side, the place seemed very safe. There were just identical trees around her throughout the day and night.

Since she couldn't get out, she did not plan to just sit around and wait for her death! She decided to sit down and cultivate, wait to see if anyone would pass by.

Su Ruoxi entered the state of cultivation quickly. But this time, she did not completely focus on cultivating; she also kept an eye on the surroundings.

She was surprised to discover that as she cultivated, the surrounding environment was changing. Even though it was subtle, she still spotted it…

For example, the trees that were originally of the same thickness were now different as the amount of time she spent cultivating increased.

"Could it be that I would be able to leave after I absorb all the Mystique Energy here?" Su Ruoxi's heart moved as she thought about it.

It was worth a try. Hence, Su Ruoxi started to cultivate diligently…

When the ray of lights that indicated she had levelled up shone again, Su Ruoxi slowly opened her eyes. She was already at the intermediate level of Blue Mystique.

With such capability at her age, she would be considered a genius in the Land of the Dancing Phoenix!

After Su Ruoxi leveled up, the surroundings also changed. She found herself standing in front of a strange entrance. There was a path ahead that led to what looked like a cave. Other than that, everywhere else were cliffs. There were no other paths.

Su Ruoxi hesitated for a while but could only proceed. No matter what laid ahead, retreating was not in her options…

Right after Su Ruoxi stepped into the cave, there was a loud noise behind her. Turning around, she saw that the entrance was blocked. Though she had never thought of retreating, it was now no longer an option…

Without any options left, Su Ruoxi continued to proceed. Instead of a cave, it was more like a tunnel. She did not know how long she had walked for. When she finally exited the tunnel and saw the view in front of her, she really wanted to curse…

In front of her was still a patch of lush forest. She immediately felt like she was being played. Why else would she be brought from one end of the forest to the other…

She looked around discontented and found a small wooden sign with a line of small characters written on the right side. Su Ruoxi could only see the content clearly after taking a few steps toward it. "The Five Toxins Forest is as deep as the ocean. One can only leave this place after successfully obtaining the Five Toxins inheritance, if not…"

Su Ruoxi inspected it closely and realized there were only these three and a half lines. It did get the meaning across, though. In short, the place she was in was called Five Toxins Forest, and she would have to get some kind of Five Toxin inheritance if she wanted to get out. Even though there was no further explanation, it was clear that nothing good would happen if she did not obey…

She was never someone who succumbed to fate. Since she came, no matter what, she would find a way to get out. Su Ruoxi looked around and randomly chose a direction to walk…

There was a black and a white coffin placed in a chamber of an ancient tomb, deep in the Five Toxins Forest.

The black coffin was made of top quality obsidian, which looked luxurious in a modest manner. On the other hand, the white coffin was made of high-quality crystal which looked elegant and exquisite at first glance…

There were two light orbs suspended on top of the coffins, one black and one white. On the wall facing the two light orbs was a round screen. What appeared in it was Su Ruoxi who was battling with a very poisonous spotted python…

"Old man, I think that she is the heir we are waiting for! After tens of thousands of years, the fateful person has finally appeared…" A gentle old woman's voice sounded from the flickering white orb.

"Hmph, I see it differently! She is so weak! She's just in the Blue Mystique intermediate level. Even if she is invulnerable to poison, she may not make it here to meet us! After so many years, others who have been invulnerable to poison did not manage to enter this place, either!" The black orb flickered, uttering the voice of an old man.

"I feel that she is different from the others who have arrived! Furthermore, think about it, if our heir does not appear soon, both of us are going to completely disappear from this world. Are you willing to disappear without a single apprentice?" the old woman's voice said in disappointment.

"Hmph, even if there is regret, I will not pass on my inheritance to someone useless!" the old man continued stubbornly.

"Hmph, I believe that she can definitely do it!" the woman said with a lot of confidence while she looked at Su Ruoxi within the screen.

From the moment Su Ruoxi appeared in their sight, she had an indescribable good feeling toward her. She believed that this girl would be able to pass all the tests and make it through to meet them.

"If I knew this would happen, I should have made the tests easier," the old woman thought regretfully.

Su Ruoxi was really burnt out along the way. Sometimes, a poisonous snake would appear, and next, there would be some poisonous flower. If she wasn't invulnerable to poison, she would have died countless times…

However, also because of that, her capability had greatly improved which made her really happy. She also collected many herbs and poisonous flowers or plants along the way…

Since she knew that she could become an alchemist, she would definitely not miss any of the herbs she saw. She did not know what was waiting for her after returning to the Prince's mansion. She must have more means to protect her own life…

Su Ruoxi also discovered that the deeper she went into the forest, the higher the level of the monsters and the herbs. After one month of venturing, her skills were as good as when she was in the modern world, and her body had been recovering well…

It was no longer malnourished like before, and she even grew quite a bit in height after she leveled up.

The only fly in the ointment was that she only had one set of clothes on her, and it was already very tattered. Luckily, it was summer and there was no one else in the Five Toxins Forest. She tore the complex costume on her into a short-sleeved shirt and shorts as it was cooler and more mobile…
