As they looked at Lin Ye's luxurious equipment, the viewers in his stream room began to doubt life.
"My god, so much stuff from just one room. When did School become so lootable?"
"Damn, his equipment is amazing after just searching a few rooms. What kind of luck is this?"
"I f*cking searched for this area in my last game. Why did I only find a green helmet and a UZI?"
"If we compare ourselves, we're going to be decimated. If we compare our loot, ours should be thrown out!"
"Smug Streamer, I know you're not locking your health bar with a cheat, but you must be using a goddamn resource cheat, right?"
"Damn, he's using a resource cheat for sure!"
Lin Ye glanced at his chat and didn't explain. This streak of good luck even gave him an unreal feeling.
"System, what is going on?" Lin Ye frowned and asked in his head.
"Host, when you turned on your stream, the System gave you five rounds of newcomers' buff. In these five games, you will have a chance to receive a one-star good luck card or a one-star bad luck card," the System quickly explained.
"One-star good luck card and one-star bad luck card?" Lin Ye concentrated as the item descriptions appeared in his head.
[One-Star Good Luck Card]: When used, the target will gain good luck. The extent of the luck correlates to the level of the card.
[One-Star Bad Luck Card]: When used, the target will gain bad luck. The extent of the luck correlates to the level of the card.
"So that means I've been experiencing the good luck card these two rounds?" Lin Ye silently asked.
"Yes, Host," the System said.
Lin Ye nodded. If the System was right, everything he had experienced so far in this game would be perfectly reasonable. Of course, the impact of this one-star good luck card was within his realm of acceptability as nothing too shocking had happened so far.
On the other hand, the game was still continuing.
Tatata!
Tatata!
Tatata!
Listening closely, hurried footsteps sounded from each direction around the room.
Clearly, the remaining Bear Defenders in School had all found guns and were looking for Lin Ye's whereabouts.
However, other than these footsteps, Lin Ye didn't hear any extra gun noises.
Other than School, there was no gunfire being exchanged even in the directions of Rozhok and the building complexes beside School.
If that was the case, this area was completely controlled by the Bear Defenders.
Of course, Lin Ye didn't really mind. He didn't have any conservative ideas as he grabbed the 98K and rushed out of the room.
Ten meters in front of him, stairs appeared in his eyes.
Tatata!
Tata!
Ta!
...
The condensed footsteps suddenly stopped.
Two players a level above him seemed like they were going to charge down, but they both stopped dead in their tracks when they heard Lin Ye's footsteps.
"They want to ambush me…" Lin Ye stopped too. He wasn't in a haste to rush at them. After all, he didn't know what weapons they wielded. If they each had shotguns, he had a high chance of dying with his single 98K.
After all, he was playing solo in this round while the other Harley Quinns in School were not.
He was a one-man army, so he needed to be confident but also cautious.
Upon seeing this, many viewers loudly warned him in the stream.
"Smug Streamer, Smug Streamer, there are people ambushing you at the stairwell for sure. Be careful!"
"That's right, those Bear Defenders are all playing together. You need to be careful fighting against that many."
"Damn, you're still going to use 98K at this moment? Don't be so overly confident!"
"Streamer, I see that you want to make it out of School with just a 98K. That's way too hard!"
"You don't have to engage in a hardcore gunfight; you have great equipment. Just jump out of the window, find a vehicle, and run away."
"That's right. You're so good at sniping anyways, so you might as well get far away and pick them off slowly from a distance."
Slowly, many viewers began trying to convince Lin Ye to run away. He had good equipment anyways and should play the slow game while using hit-and-run tactics.
"Running away… That term doesn't exist in my book," Lin Ye said confidently as he swapped his 98K to a frag grenade. "Now is the real showtime."
Clang!
He pulled the pin.
Lin Ye stood out of sight behind the wall and observed the turn of the stairs.
Silence.
There was no abnormal movement.
He silently counted down in his heart.
Four… three… two… one…
When he counted to one, Lin Ye suddenly peeked out from behind the wall as his grenade flew straight towards the turn of the stairs in a perfect parabolic path.
"Here's a ride to heaven."
Bang!
The frag grenade exploded into countless fragments and scattered in every direction.
The two players standing at the stair's corner and wanting to ambush Lin Ye were instantly turned into death crates as their health bars immediately dropped to zero from the exploding grenade.
On the top right corner of the screen, new kill messages appeared.
"Linye killed mozsart with a frag grenade."
"Linye killed XX828KK with a frag grenade."
The instant explosion killed two in one go.
After the black smoke cleared, Lin Ye finally strolled out from behind the wall. He ran next to the two death crates to check.
Wow!
Damn!
An S686 and an S12K. These two Bear Defenders were both wielding shotguns by the stairs, waiting for Lin Ye to run into their faces.
Seeing the firearms on the two players, Lin Ye's viewers felt fear after the fact.
"Damn, these two sneaky b*stards. An S686 plus an S12k; that's too brutal."
"LOL, thank god the streamer wasn't smug just now. Otherwise, this round would be over by now for sure."
"That frag grenade was godlike. If he rushed them with a 98K, he would go down in two shots."
"That explosion wasn't just fancy, it was a beautiful and elegant display!"
Lin Ye had lost his interest in the two death crates from those two sneaky players. After all, his current equipment was already very luxurious. Other than a level 3 helmet and an AWM, there was not much room for improvement.
"There shouldn't be more than a few players left alive in School." After landing, Lin Ye had already sniped and blasted six players. As far as he could recall, there were only about 11 to 12 other players who landed in School.
After taking out his 98K, Lin Ye charged towards the direction where footsteps were the densest. He wasn't used to playing defensively, and even though he was using a sniper rifle, he made others feel like he was using an automatic assault rifle.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
In the gradually emptying School, sharp and crisp gunshots constantly sounded.
After each gunshot, a new notification would appear in the kill feed on the upper right of the screen.
Seven kills!
Eight kills!
Nine kills!
Ten kills!
Eleven kills!
Finally, after circling the main school building, Lin Ye wiped out all the remaining players with his 98K that he could find. As for his kill count this game, it quickly reached a total of eleven, which was terrifying at this stage.
He landed at School and got eleven kills!
Other than the two players who died to his frag grenade, the other nine players were all headshotted by Lin Ye's 98K.
He aimed with his 6x scope and shot the bullets.
Any Bear Defenders who appeared in Lin Ye's field of view were headshotted by his 98K. The round of clean kills hooked all of his viewers and sent them over the top, making them send many bullet comments.
In an instant, the entirety of School fell into a dead silence. No more gunshots were heard.
However, Lin Ye didn't let his guard down. He ran to the square in front of the main school building and looked around cautiously.
It was because when he landed, he couldn't see if it was 11 or 12 people that landed at School with him. So, an enemy might be hiding in a corner, waiting to assault him when his back was turned.
Ta! Ta! Ta!
When Lin Ye exited the main building, he ran towards the ball-shaped sculpture at the center of the square. However, as he ran, he scanned the windows located all around him.
He was cautious.
He stayed cautious.
Finally, after seven or eight seconds, a white level 2 helmet poked out from a window on the third floor of the gym building.
