"Auoo-o-o-o!"
Jin woke up and jumped to his feet only to hit the spear he had left over his makeshift bed, but the spear didn't drop out and he fell backwards. What greeted Jin when he opened his eyes scared the hell out of him.
He tried to crawl back but stuck at the shaft of the spear. A huge frenzied mug, like a mixture of a wild boar and a monkey, screamed and sputtered at him. In the feet of affection, Jin lifted the sword he had beside him and started hitting the face with all his might.
He couldn't control his movement so the sword hit the face a few times then jammed somewhere below it, scaring Jin even more. He put his feet on the monster's face with both feet and tried to draw the sword, pulling it towards himself with all his might, but the puny might he had was insufficient. Then he started to hit the face with both his legs. The shaft holding the face snaped and the monster fell on the side, crying even louder before breathing its' last.
"Thankfully I didn't cry. I didn't even shit myself! I'm brave! God who might have thought that some monster would be dumb enough to jump on me and trigger the trap. Looks like my luck is superb it dropped on its side kebabing itself on the stakes. Yey for me!" Jin looked like he regained his bearing the moment the beast died, yet his heart was bitting like an overdriven engine.
"So what do I do now? Leaving everything like it is now is a suicide, the blood and commotion will attract more beasts, yet this fella looks like a big gain I didn't deserve." Bright moonlight highlighted the creature, it was half Jin's size, had a humongous head, and looked like humanoid boar.
Jin hurried out, and cut another four more stakes, making two more makeshift spears, but now he didn't bother with intricacies, just cutting the points sharp. He dragged the body inside the protective circle of bushes and then put the stakes the same way the previous was pointed. Next, he put the two leftover stakes looking at each other in a triangular shape, without the top angle, he finished the triangle with the body of the beast, hanging it upside down.
The creature looked big, but it had no more than 25 kilograms in weight. The moment he got his hands of the creature – the triangle started to tumble down. Jin reacted momentarily, taking out the broken spear and putting it at the point the structure was falling to, finishing the stable tetraether figure. Not waiting to catch his breath after confirming the construct was stable he started to dig the hole underneath the body, making the place the blood could flow to.
Soon he faced the problem – the blood was mixing with soil, making it impossible for him to dig. He didn't hesitate and started digging the hole 30 centimeters further when it was about 40 centimeters high and 30 centimeters wide, he made a path between the first hole and the new one then finally breathed in relief and sat down examining himself.
Only now did he realize he had no injuries but was stained with blood all over.
"First let's calm down." He breathed in deeply then breathed out.
"Oh, the system had new messages, nice!" He tried to cheer himself, then nearly broke down

"Are you kidding me? This system is bugged! What the hell does it mean "self-destruct"? Am I excelling in destroying myself so much?" Jin was pissed off.
"I wonder what action did the system take as being harmful to myself? Whatever I can't rewind the time. What's next?"

"WTF? Did I level up by killing the monster? Now that's more like it! I wonder what makes me level up, is there some experience energy in creatures, or is it something else? Finally, I know I can strengthen myself! Why did jumping level up? Did the system consider me kicking the monster with my feet as an act of jumping? Is it making jokes at me? Now that is sick! On another note, I wonder if the blood has some purposes"
Before continuing with the system he put the empty wineskin into the blood pool, filling it up and looking at his system window.

"If the system will respond to everything I do – I will go crazy!" He opened the floating window

"So level up doesn't bring my stat up, it just brings my stat limit up! I wonder if agility, wisdom, and intellect have higher stat limits because they had higher stats at the time I leveled up? It looks like my actual stat multiplied by 0,5 added to my max stat each time I level up. Meaning I need to train till the stat hits the cap before leveling up. If only I had someone backing me up and letting me take the optimal way... Like the damn royals could! Calm down, calm down! these thoughts driving me crazy! Okay, now I have to finish the job fast, or the next one losing blood will be me." He closed the cap on the wineskin, licked his fingers, and then paused.
"Looks like I'm going crazy but this blood is delicious!" He cupped his hands and started drinking more blood, but soon found out his hasted actions mixed the blood and the dirt.

"Oh, it looks like me feeling energetic is not just an empty feeling! Guess I awakened some sort of ability, viva la Jin!" He didn't ponder for long and started feeling the pits with the earth he previously dug.
"Let's pray it will stop the odor from spreading." He tried to clean himself with the earth around him. the smell subsided, but he looked like a dirty bum. Then he checked the short stakes on the ground and straightened the angle of inclination of the shift. Finally, he was morally exhausted, realizing he was about to fall asleep he laid under his new spears holding the now freed sword in his hand tightly.
"Wish me good luck and goodnight," He said towards the moon that was about to be swallowed by clouds.
