Chapter 2 - Chapter #2: Struggle of a New Born Normal Person

Third Person's POV

On the early morning of Monday, Sam woke up with the sound of alarm clock. She opened her right eye and looked at the time, it was already 6:30 A.M.. Her eyes widened, it was her first day of school, she can't be late. And so she stood up, and ran directly to the bath.

Right after she finished taking a bath, she put on her robe and walked straight to the kitchen. No one was around that day, as her dad needs to head to the company to handle some issues. As soon as she entered the room, she opened each and every drawer visible and stopped when she finally found some breads to toast. She put four on the toaster and waited.

After eating, she headed straight back to her room and reached the set of uniform hanging on her closet. It was her first time wearing such a beautiful set of uniform, where each and everyone of her soon-to-be-classmates will also be wearing. Just thinking about that, her heart is already filled with joy and happiness.

Ever since she was a kid, she haven't experienced being friend with anyone on her school. Because each year, her dad would send at least two to three bodyguards to guard the room she was in, who also followed her to the school's cafeteria and everywhere she goes inside and outside the school. That is why no one ever tried to get close and talk to her, they were all scared. Each year, her annoyance became greater and greater. And whenever she reached her limit, she would always ask her father for freedom but was always ignored. Well, she was still young back then, she finally came to understand.

Just thinking of the past, she just let out a light chuckle as she walked out her room and headed straight to the garage.

By living a normal life, also means using the transpo that most people use. A bicycle, that is what first came on her mind. But unexpectedly, also expectedly, when she reached the garage, there's no bicycle in sight. And she just remembered, they don't have a bicycle or even a motorcycle. Most vehicles her dad owns are limo and race cars, he loves to collect every single type and brand of those. After a while, she decided to just walk out of the village, even though their house is at the very far end.

After a tiresome half an hour walk, she finally reached the front gate. But then, she saw that the bus stop is pretty far from. And so it came to her, what a load of tiresome walking normal people have to experience everyday.

Reaching the bus stop, she taught her struggle was already done. But little did she know, this is just the start of everything she needs to face everyday. A lot of people were patiently waiting for the bus to arrive, luckily she was in front of the line. But as soon as the bus stopped in front of her, people came running out of nowhere. She was shocked by the sudden chaos, and was out of her thoughts when she was pushed away from the door and fell hard on the ground. She felt pain on her arms and legs, small amount of blood peeked from her fresh wound. "What did just happened?", she asked to herself.

She helped herself stand and dusted herself. This is such a beautiful day, after such a tiresome walking, then here comes a new found wound. "Great! Just great.", she said to herself. She thought, is this the daily scenery people have to experience just to ride a bus? And it does only mean that she have to experience this everyday? Oh men, what a luck. But then she thought, if she give up over such trivial things, she won't be able to achieve anything. And thus she came with a decision, no matter what she experienced and will have to experience, she wants this herself and so she must go on. She must be responsible for her own actions and decisions.

It was already 7:30 A.M. when another bus came. She readied herself, and made a strong stance so that she will not again fall and embarass herself like earlier. Right when the bus stopped in front of her, she quickly made her way inside. "Whew! Finally!", she blurted out as she sat on the isle seat behind the driver.

After all the passengers were om board, the conductor walked to hear seat and asked for her payment. She pulled her wallet out her bag and opened it, her eyes widened when no cash was found, there are only her cards and ID's. "Oh no! What to do?", she asked herself.

"Can I pay...with card?"

-knowing the conductor's answer, she still asked.

"Miss, are you kidding me? Is this your first time to ride a bus? If you don't have any money to pay, then please get off."

-the conductor said, and he seems like he is ready to drag her out.

Her palms are sweating, hands shaking. Thoughts left her mind, she is now having an inner panic. When she can't think of anything else, a man stretched his arm and handed the money to the conductor.

"Payment for two."

-he simply said and turned his gaze away. She looked, or more likely stared, at him for some moment. He looks weak and whimpy, a typical nerd type but without glasses. Sam lowered her gaze down to his uniform and saw that he is also from her school, based on the logo that were placed on the left side of his chest.

After a moment, s was back from my thoughts and looked back to the conductor. He seems puzzled, he even looked on the person beside the guy, and back to her, then he nodded. She guess, he also noticed that they're from the same school. A moment later, he handed the receipt and change to the guy then he moved on to the next passenger.

She, again, turned her sight and looked on the guy. "He look so peaceful", she thought.

"Thank you."

-she said waiting for a reply, but heard nothing from him.

"Hey, I said thank you for paying my fare. I promise to pay you back tomorrow."

-he looked at her, and for a while she thought he was going to say "You're welcome" and will ask for her name and then they could be friends.

She was caught up on her thought, when he once again turned his gaze away, she was dumbfounded. "Really? Did he really just ignored me?", she shouted on her brain. She turned her gaze back on the road and pulled her arms crossed on her chest. She was really grateful of him, he was so kind to pay for a strangers fare but then, he was being disrespectful.

Thoughts, once again, filled her mind when she heard the conductor.

"Pasay! Pasay!"

-it was her finally her station. She was about to stand when the guy earlier stood first then rushed out the bus. "Huh! What a gentleman!", she criticized him on her mind.

After jumping off the bus, she took the path to her school. She then again saw the guy, he was walking with his head down. "Is he really a nerd? You know, the one you always see in dramas being bullied? But he looks tough earlier though?", she shook her head out of her thoughts when she suddenly heard a bell rang. It was her schools bell. She looked on her wrist watch and it was already 8:25 A.M., means she's running late. Not wanting to have a tardiness record on her first day of school, she ran her heart out passing the students still walking, not bothered if they're late or not.

"My new life, here I come!"

-she shouted happily as she entered the schools gate.
