"It's hard to tell who has your back, from who has it long enough just to stab you in it..."

"Good GAWD!" Obsidian said from where she lay impatiently with her head covered tightly by her hood, "He's taking forever!"
"MasterLock," I asked, "you think he's dead?"
"I think we should leave..." she said darkly.
"Why did the Baron put you in charge anyway AllFall?" Obsidian asked disdain filling her voice.
"I don't know Obsidian."
Then a door slapped open and we sat up with a start, and the Headsman was coming our way. He was caked in blood...
And ice...
"Supers." Obsidian said as she shot up to his aide.
Me and MasterLock grabbed our M4A1's with grenade-launchers and then we all stopped...
ThrustSliding through the door was an Angel...
"Go!" The Headsman screamed and MasterLock went to turn on the train. Obsidian was waiting at the door and threw up a wall of darkness to block the Angels' approach...
Out of instinct...
I raised my gun and just as the Angel teleported through her shield I knocked the Angel down with a shot to the head...
It didn't even penetrate but Obsidian turned her head in shock and summoned a shield in the woman's guts and expanded it before retreating to the train. The train was picking up speed before the Headsman could get there but he transformed his arm into a basic tentacle and grabbed onto the train as it sped onward to the rendezvous with the Baron.
"Angels?!" MasterLock said, incredulous.
The Headsman dragged himself in at this point and tried to say as if to impress us,
"Was THAT a test?"
"Call. The. Baron." Obsidian said and before I went in a separate car, "Thanks AllFall."

The Baron
I had the phone in my hand as AllFall called me...
Just as the representative of the Wo Shing Wo came into the deserted street with two bodyguards...
I put my phone on 'do not disturb' mode...
"Good evening," I said with a bow, he regarded me with the classic mafia deadpan look saying 'cut to the chase', "What do you want? You know that the Wo Shing Wo values it's time, American."
"Very well," I said, "you are aware that I didn't want money for the job today. I want a favor..."
His deadpan facial expression didn't even twitch, "The Wo Shing Wo helps its friends if there is benefits to be had." He stepped closer to me, "I don't remember when you became a friend."
Instead of screaming, "DIE DISRESPECTFUL FOOL!" I simply nodded and kept a diplomatic silence,
"I can guarantee the Wo Shing Wo won't go without compensation of some kind. But may your guards step out of earshot as I explain my plans?"
He stared at me for a full minute or so before waving the guards back with his hand and they stepped out. "So," he said, "what is your evil plan?"
I told him the plan and after it he stood in place with a worried fear about him. A long silence preceded,
"Insanity American. You will fail and die. No."
"Sir," I pleaded, "just make a phone call."
"No! The Wo Shing Wo would never-ever agree to this!"
I set my feet in determined steel, and said,
"Twenty million."
He did a double check, "For what?"
"The start to terms in the phone call you're going to make."
"The answer is no."
"Fifty." I said coldly but he shouted at me,
"THE ANSWER IS-"
"ONE HUNDRED!" I shouted over him.
He blinked for a moment,
"One-hundred million American dollars will be given to the Wo Shing Wo if you make that phone call."
He shook his head and grit out,
"You force my hand American; you force my hand." Then he dug around for his phone.

"Did you call him!?" Obsidian asked.
I cursed, "He's got his phone on silent!"
"Um, guys..." Headsman said with apparent panic in his voice.
We walked over to the window and we saw several white clad soldiers...
Sliding on the rails toward us...
"Get back!"
Several of them were heavies and began opening up the train with mini guns. MasterLock launched a grenade at them but they had a forcefield as well. I launched on at the rails but they simply ThrustJumped over the damage usual Angelic flare...
I cursed...
"Get behind me!" Headsman said as he transformed his arms into a large metal-like shield.
We began backing up but I saw another Angel that likely teleported into the train but he was just outside the car trying to disconnect the car we were on. Obsidian was already there...
She opened the door and he gave her a deer-in-the-headlights kind of look...
Then she opened him from the inside out sending him gruesomely under the train. She waved us inside and I was the last,
"What do you think we should do?" She shouted over the train.
"Disconnect the car and abandon the train; they likely hacked into the subway and will take this train where they want it."
"Okay," then she made an orb that cut the car from the next and sent it crashing in the tunnels, "and-oh," she said with the first smile I saw on her all day-
An evil one,
"I forgot to thank you for humiliating me at dinner the other day," then she used a dark pulse that sent me flying from the train, "OOPS!"

Chapter XXVI
(Don't have a quote yet... suggestions anyone? Lol 😆)
-----------------------
I quickly lessened my gravity by instinct as I tumbled out of the train. Smashing and bouncing on and off the railroad caused me to eat dirt and taste blood. Once I stopped rolling I tried to get up and yelped in pain due to my leg. I spat blood, forcing myself up, I croaked,
"That little piece of-"
I groaned wordlessly in pain. I picked a rock out of my cheek, the warm blood wetting the dirt on my face. My leg and arm hurt but I could thankfully walk it off. I tried to pull out my phone but cut myself on glass in my pocket, in desperation I dug deeper and pulled it out cutting my hand to the point where blood oozed steadily from my fist...
Blood wasted; phone was garbage...
But it was also garbage that I couldn't let any Angel's reconstruct...
I continued onward and thankfully I was betrayed outside one of the exit areas but I checked out the bathrooms for medkits.
I scored one and never knew how greatly I would appreciate the expired pain medication inside. I coughed, my blood the only thing at the moment to wash the pills down. (That's right, PILLS. PLURAL.)
Then I got to the exit...
The boarded up exit...
Then I remembered something about our field phones...
"Siri!" I croaked.
"Yes madam?"
I sighed in relief and said,
"Are your speakers and microphones working?"
"Voice recognition failure." Aww crap, was I to hoarse?
"Siri, its me-"
"Voice recognition failure." Then a '😈' dominated the blacked out screen,
"Goodbye!"
I cussed and threw the phone down before it blew up. I was showered in dust and my ears were blown with the echoes and reverberation. Looking back I was blinded by the white rays of the sun then my hair kicked up as a bullet passed my head and shattered part of the wall; embedding it in my face. I couldn't even hear my screams...
My anger flared and my hair began floating up...
I glared at the advancing soldiers and one met my gaze...
And was surprisingly afraid of it,
"Holy crap."
I must've looked really scary...
But Waya has me beat any day...
That's when I put my hand out and collapsed the tunnel on them. Before I knew it, I had just lost my cool and could have potentially killed the good guys! 'Meh,' I thought, 'they probably would have shot me.'
I climbed out into the suns of Shanghai, the city we were doing our op in. Poor people littered the streets and propaganda for the current Chinese regime was everywhere, second to the propaganda was spray-paint defiling the propaganda. The number one thing getting everyone's attention however was...
Me: the girl who blew her way out of a abandoned hole.
People began to scatter and some took out their phones.
I began to run trying to figure out what to do. I don't want to call the Baron because if Angel's are monitoring this area they could pick up the call and track us. If I don't call, then Obsidian will lie and say I was dead or captured.
I could turn myself in and get out of super villainry entirely. That, and Marcus said that someone was coming to help out... is that the Headsman? Is he a replacement and I am seriously going to jack up their plans because I CAN NOT miss the elaborate plan that the Baron has slow cooking inside his dark head? I grabbed some random woman and knocked her out in one punch. 'Lord, help me,' I thought before taking the phone she just filmed herself getting dropped with.

The Black Baron
No-one knows my number. No-one save those closest to me I answered tentatively,
"Red Baron airlines."
Surely, no one would de-code that.
"Really Baron? Anyone would probably know whose talking."
"Ma'am, I don't know what you're talking about."
"QUIT PLAYING DUMB FOR GOD'S SAKE."
"Ummm, I'm Buddhist and my two favorite games to play are: dumb and hard-to-get. Now are you needing a plane or not?"
"Good God," she said probably face palming about my precautions, "YES."
"Alright: name please."
"Look, I'm sorry but-," then she practically yelled into the phone, "JUST GET ME OUT OF HERE BEFORE THEY TRACK ME!"
I sighed, why couldn't women just go along with it?
"The choice is up to you AllFall. If we get you it will definitely jack up our relationship with the Wo Shing Wo but if we don't we MAY have a chance with the Wo Shing Wo."
She sobered and asked,
"What will happen if we lose the Wo Shing Wo?"
"My plans won't stop."
She thought for a long moment and then said,
"Get me outta here."
"Alright, I'm coming."
Before I pressed the 'end call' button I heard,
"Wait. What!?"
