Chapter 12 - What I've been waiting for

"The Gym? Really?" Lindsay replied mokingly. After all she had seen.. she had expected another huge mansion filled with supernatural equipment or with monsters of all genre she could fight

"Well.. what did you expect?" Joanna said as she laughed loudly

As surprised as Lindsay was, anger fueled her spirit more than the conversation. "You know what, it's exactly what I need" she replied moving towards what seemed like a dance machine.

"Hey.. Don't let my brother about this.." Joanna said as she put on a special pair of glasses and handed one to Lindsay, walking into the machine.

"What's this?" Lindsay questioned

"This is what I like to call my anger mobile"

"What are you, five?" Lindsay replied laughingly as she tried getting into the roller that seemed like a staircase moving at her rhythm.

There was a hard cushion all over the walls of the room, and headseats on the front of the walking track.

"Ready" Lindsay said looking up as she adjested the glasses

"Welcome to the anger mobile, you may only reply with yes or no" a male bot voice replied "Would you like to know the rules?"

"Pfft.. Yes" Lindsay replied, looking fowards at what seemed like a Male Robot in her 3D Screen.

"The rules are as stated below:

1. You must not take off the equipment until the game is done. There will be real life consequences if done.

2. You must protect the civilians at all times. If one is killed, a shock will be given to your real life body.

Do you agree to the rules?"

"What the hell" Lindsay said as she laughed by the severity of the rules "What type of sh*t did Joelle get me to" she told herself

"Yes" Lindsay said sighing, after all, Elios was going to kick her put soon enough, she had nothing else to lose.

"The game has begun. Use your powers and complete the quests." The Robot said as a forest appeared with what seemed like the civilians being attacked by gullies.

"How do I use my powers?" Lindsay yelled not understanding the concept of the game "You told me the rules but not how to play the game you damn piece of sh*t" she continued yelling.

Deciding to take her chances, she went towards the monsters and began using all the force she had to get rid of them all.

"Oh this is easy" she said as she continued punching the monsters and making random gestures in order to trigger her game powers to work.

While Lindsay and Joelle were enjoying their game.. Elios was not enjoying his situation.

"What do you mean he quit?" Elios yelled at his secretary in the phone "for hells sake tell me we have another programmer in board"

"The need for his family was more important than his job sir. His mother was getting sick and he felt he needed to be by her side" his secretary on the other side of the phone said, scared he would yell again.

"I understand" Elios sighted "Are you sure Project X cannot be completed without one?"

"It cannot sir, a programmer is needed to make sure the coding on the computers are set and ready for the electronics to complere the final stage"

An idea entered Elios mind.

"If I do this.. that means she'll find out the real truth..sh*t" he told himself contemplating his next move.

"I'll have another programmer by tomorrow" he said as he hung up the phone and continued with his work, while not being able to focus.

"Hey" Trevor said as he opened the doors widely letting himself in.

"Have I not told you a thousand times to start knocking on the damn door?" Elios replied angrily

"What's got you so worked up?" Trevor asked surprised, there was nothing that could change the mood of Elios but one girl.. "I'll guess it's Lindsay" he added containing his laugh

Elios began explaining his need for her as an asset and everything about her life story.

"I never expected that" Trevor said taking it all in and giggled at how he fooled them all

"She's smarter and tougher than she looks" Elios said smirking towards the thought of having her under his control.

"I hope you realize.. she won't do it" Trevor said as he took Elios' coffee and made it his. "Not unless you give her what she wants" he added

"And what's that?" Elios said looking down towards Trevor daintily

Trevor then knew he had to watch what he said very carefully before Elios snapped and he gets shipped him off to Brazil in a cage.

"Freedom.." he replied as he decided not to pursue his comedy with Elios.

"She'll be good for him.. smart, daring yet down to earth.. thats exactly what he needs" Trevor thought to himself happily as he left the office with what was once Elios' coffee.

Back in the gym with Joelle and Lindsay

"Send a message to Joelle, tell her the following: I still haven't figured out how to use my so called powers and I'm about to lose the damn game by it" Lindsay said whilst running to what seemed like a civilian almost hammered by a scientist.

"You have recieved one message from Joelle. Would you like me to read it?" The Male Bot voice said.

"Yes"

"I already completed the game two hours ago, you have to use your real life powers for it dummy"

"Send a message to Joelle, tell her the following: WE HAVE A PROBLEM THEN, I don't have powers"

Joelle replied: "Ahh okay just focus well on your inner spirit. I don't know how this works!! Don't worry if you lose, the consequence isn't real I don't think"

Lindsay took her chances once again and began to hum to herself, it always connected her back home because her mom used to say it would always keep her safe.

"The ground is shaking!" Lindsay said remembering how it also happened when her father was arrested. She then decided to push away all the monsters to the cracks of the earth and eventually win the game.

"Game Over. Would you like to play again?" The Male bot replied

"NO" Lindsay yelled as she took off everything off and realized the ground was also shaking in the real world "How do I make it stop" she asked herself scared for her life

"Breathe in and out, calm yourself" a voice said inside of her. Lindsay listened and did as told. The ground suddenly stopped moving, luckily she was alone and Joanna had gone away.

"Who are you?" Lindsay asked herself whispering "Am I hearing things now?"

"I don't think we have the power to talk to ghosts.. but hello my name is Phoe, your wolf"
