When I recovered my consciousness and opened my eyes, there was a huge ceiling hanging over me. I can't actually remember why I am here or where I am. I'm sure of one thing thought. That dream I had was really weird. White fur all over my body ? a huge small girl taking care of me ? How does that make any sense right ?
My vision is still a little tired from something, but I leave it for later. Sitting up over the comfortable bed I find myself on, I can't help but gasp for air thanks to the sight that awaits me.
It wasn't a dream. I really am in a small white furred body.
This time, a little more recomposed, I give this weird body of mine a better look. Five fingers and opposable thumbs, thin fur, a small black snout.
While doing a check out over my new features, I can feel like something is looking at me, a weird feeling to have when you expect to be alone in a room. It is only when I scout my surroundings that I see it. A pair of shining blue eyes looking straight at me.
I gasp out of surprise.
I instantly crawl away from the little giant girl that is staring at me with relief and expectations. Before I could do anything, the girl turns away from me and brings a bowl with some kind of soup in it. She brought it close to me, offering it.
I look at the bowl and then at the little girl and carefully put my ... hands? over it. I don't know how to refer to these new appendages of mine anymore.
Holding the bowl in my ... hands, I look back at the little girl, that is still looking at me expectantly. With a nod of her head, she again offers me to eat it. All the time thought, she kept talking in a language I have never heard before. The only clue I had that she wanted me to eat the soup was through body language.
Looking down at the food in my arms, with some difficulty to hold a spoon, I start eating it.
𝘋𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴.
I keep eating it fast. I could also hear the girls giggles through my exasperation. I don't mind them though, they actually serve to calm me down from all of this that is happening.
Trying to record the events that occurred in that void, I can only come to one conclusion... I died and was, for some unknown reason, brought to this fantasy like world with little elf girls.
I can't help but sigh at that thought though.
It would make it easier of it was only one of those things, you know ? either reincarnation or fantasy like world, although I'm not sure how it would work for only the fantasy new world part... maybe transmigration ? As I keep eating steadily from the soup bowl, I keep my sigh locked onto the little girl, expecting to find some new information to extract from all of this.
The girl, seemingly noticing my interest in her, seems to feel a little uncomfortable. She then seems to ask something in her own language, but I just crook my head to the side, to signify that I didn't understand a word she said. She seemed a little bit surprised at first, but soon enought that reaction left her face back into her smilling self. After finishing the delicious soup, I realize that the girl is continuously pointing at herself and repeating the same words. "Alys". Which I asumed to be her name.
I try repeating the same words to her, but it seems to still be hard to move this new body of mine the way I want it to. More even so that my mouth doesn't seem to be made with languages in mind in the first place.
What leaves my lips are more like "Alish ", But I'm satisfied none the less. What I didn't expect though was for the girl to be surprised at me repeating her name back to her. I thought she was expecting it in the first place. I try repeating it again, just to see her reaction.
"Alysh "
This time, the pronunciation seems a little closer to the original, but still can't seem to get rid of the "sh" sound at the end, this mouth of mine is hard to get used to after all. Snouts are harder to use for that, sadly.
The girl, alys, was ecstatic. She started pointing at every object in the room and saying a new hard to pronounce word, that I, with nothing better to, repeated after her. While all of that was happening, though, the door that I didn't even know was a door in the first place, cracked open and two huge figures entered the room. Well... huge is a bit much. It is I that seem to be small after all.
The two ... normal sized figures aproched alys calmly. Alys, in the other hand, was excitedly started talking to the two figures, seemingly talking about me. She was all the time giving me a look and pointing in my direction after all. The two figures, one a woman and the other a man, both with ponty elf ears, looked surprised after hearing the small girl, but also a little doubtful.

After having that thought, Alys, seemingly to confirm that she was talking the truth, started making me repeat the words that she taught me so far, and I just repeated what I did before. While doing that thought, I discovered something weird. I could clearly remember every single word alys had taught me before. Its not like I was a stupid brick before I died but I don't remember me being able to easlily remember stuff like this. I think there might be more to this new body of mine than I previously thought.
After Alys finished her explanation, the female elf exit the room while the male elf standed between me and Alys, as if protecting her.

After a while, the female elf lady came back with some sort of crystal in her hands.

She then put the crystal on the bed, right in front of me. I look at her, and then at the elf guy, and then back at the crystal. crooking my head again, as trying to say " I have no Idea what you want me to do ".
The male elf, as if sensing it, holds on my hand a little bit too forceful, and drag it towards the crystal. When my hand touched it thought, I felt a little bit of headache and weakness over my body. My breathing became hard and my vision blured a little, and while that was happening, a dark purple light came from the crystal.

as if breaking my expectations, thought, a sigh of relief was let out from the male elf in front of me and the crystal was again put away. Now, instead of fear reflected upon his eyes, sparks of interest were seen.

The couple then started to discuss a little, as if unsure about what to do, all while Alys came to my side and without a single word, gave me a hug. I couldn't even react, it was indeed out of nowhere. I was static, not a single muscle moving. I can't understand it but... I think I felt something was wrong. Like I shouldn't be given this somehow. After retracting and looking me in the eyes, I could see that she seemed thankful for something.

After all of that happened, the two of the adult elfs started to try introduce themselfs. the woman seemed to be called Arwin, although I couldn't say anything closer than "Awin"... as for the father, his name was Calen, which, for the good of my lacking sanity, I got to pronounce correctly.
After the two of them calmed down a little, they said a quick few words to Alys and left the room, leaving us two alone again.
So much happening, first I die, then I don't die, then a elf like girl cares for me, then what I now assume to be her parents get afraid because I talked... then some crystal shined and ... and ... AND I CAN REMEMBER THINGS EASIER FOR SOME REASON.
I take a deep breath, trying to calm down my conturbed mind that is little away from going balonies.

After renewing my conviction in not giving up on this new opportunity given to me, Alys returns her attempts to help me understand her language. More and more words being fuiled to this new mind of mine. My words still sounding a little gibberish, but only with try and error can we achieve something, right ?
This improvised lesson extended for minutes, and then hours. When she ran out of words to try teaching me in a room, we moved into another one. Not much time latter, Alys and I went to an area and sat around a table with what I still assume to be her parents, Arwin and Calen already waiting. Dinner seems to be served.
I ate quietly, but Alys and her parents were talking nonstop about what I think is me. I could already understand some words that were being spoken from time to time, but I guess one day is too soon to learn a whole language, huh.
After dinner thought, it was time for sleep... well, it was Alys sleep time, I haven't feel tired yet, after all. And while I try refusing her requests for sleeping with me, that girls sad face won over and I ended up spending a whole night beside a elf girl in a magic world.
