Chapter 69 - Welcome

When they got out of the bedroom, Elle went towards a tall man with the same light red eyes and auburn hair as her. The man however took off her hands that were stuck to his arm like glue.

"What's wrong with you!" he said.

Elle pouted and said, "Don't be like that to your sister! We have our new teammate!"

His eyebrows furrowed when he heard that. Elle often brings students to be their members but all of them were useless except Blair.

'It's just a one time luck,' he said.

Something was wrong with his eyes as he still didn't see Luna though he wasn't interested in whoever Elle had brought; thinking that he/she would be unnecessary in their team.

Luna began to introduce herself seeing how her sibling would reject her as a teammate without even knowing who she was or at least showing off her abilities.

"Hello, the name's Lady Luna Noir sien Mendelevinn. You heard it right. I am invited by Blair though and not Elle," she said.

Luna quickly crossed her arms and looked towards them with a confident smile. She decided to do all she could to level up their team and surpass her former one. Well, if the same bad thing happened with her current team, she would not spare them as much as she would with those three. She was not finished. This was just the start.

He raised his head and looked towards the left side where the voice came from. His eyes widened in a second. As far as he knew, the famous healer was already in a top-ranking team, the Sapphire team, and the lower ranking seniors didn't even try to poach her; not on the Sapphire leader's watch.

"See?! Luck must have been on our side! And introduce yourself, don't you feel ashamed that a lady greeted you first?!" Elle said.

He stood there embarrassed while looking at the ceiling with his furrowed brows.

"Elenor Winterstar, senior, this woman's younger sibling," he said.

Luna nodded though who was the older between them would confuse a whole lot of people. The only thing to guess it right was to see the small details of how they act towards each other.

"But seeing that you aren't in the Sapphire section anymore proves that something bad must have happened. To be clear we will not be responsible for your problems," Elenor explained.

"Hey, be kind even for a little," Elle uttered.

Luna smirked at his statement. "Of course, of course, but surely, it wouldn't be bad to surpass some arrogant seniors isn't it? I'll show you what I can before this year's senior exam. If you're still not satisfied you can kick me anytime on this team. I did not just become the Honorary Master Mage's student for nothing," she said.

He looked back at her with resolute eyes. "Fine then," he said.

Then he turned towards Blair. "Hey, Blair, why didn't I know that you have a close connection to this famous healer?!" he said.

Blair's brows furrowed. "And why would I let you know about a girl when you have already a fiancee?" he said.

Elenor's face twitched. He wasn't that close to Blair as a senior was always busy but he was really curious about how his brain worked.

"Are you crazy? Finding a woman is different from having your teammate share that he is close friends with one of the famous students in Magic Academy," Elenor uttered.

"Well I don't see anything important in gossiping about a friend," Blair said with a shrug of shoulders.

"Stop your chattering now guys, why don't you help her carry her things inside our room," Elle said.

"I'll do it," Blair said.

Luna firmly sat on the couch when the room finally silenced then looked towards Elle and Elenor.

"Anyway, what powers do you have," she said.

It was what she failed to ask her former teammates and they didn't bother explaining it to her. She should have seen that coming.

"Well, I'm a paladin that focuses on enhancing one's power while Elenor is an earth-user that can call spirits. It's his constitution though not that much rare compared to others," Elle said.

Luna thought deeply. Hearing that Elenor knew about spirits caught her attention but not only that. As a paladin, she wanted to know if Elle could enhance Luna's physical prowess. Some of the people here seemed to have supernatural bodies that they might have inherited from their ancestors in Vermillion.

"Excellent, anyway I wonder what kind of spirits you can summon? If it's okay to reveal," Luna said.

Elenor didn't seem to mind and answered immediately. "For now I can summon the water spirit, the cloud spirit, fire spirit, wind spirit, and my ace, the dryad princess. As an earth-user I can bring its full potential in a battle," he said.

She wasn't that familiar with some constitution that deals with spirits but hearing the kind he could summon made her deep dark eyes twinkled in delight and the side of her thin lips raised.

He was stunned. "Are you that interested in my dryad spirit? You better not do something bad," he said.

Luna shook her head with a light laugh. "I'm not, I don't care about your dryad spirit, if anything I want to see all of them except that spirit. An idea just came up. It seems like you underestimate what some of them can do," she said.

His brows shot up. Elle and Blair began to be curious. Spirit constitutions weren't considered that great for everyone but Luna's reaction wasn't a bit negative.

"Oh, what is it?" Elle and Blair both uttered.

"You'll know soon," Luna said.

"You started it, why bother delaying us?" Elenor said.

Luna sighed heavily. "It's something hard to explain with words. I want you to see it with your own two eyes," she uttered.

Elenor still did not stop. He somehow thought that Luna was belittling their knowledge and tried to talk even further to find it out.

"We're not as dumb as you think, just because we aren't nobles means we don't have some knowledge to understand what you will say," he said.

Hearing his words, Luna couldn't help herself lightly scratching the side of her head with an awkward smile.

"I don't mean it that way. Some things were better off unknown. Why do I give you an example? Do you know some chemicals can be mixed to create a huge explosion that can destroy the whole South Village and let it became a barren land that one would die if they step foot near it even after decades? Such chemicals could be made by certain elements. Elements are not like magic elements. They are made up of atoms--" Luna continued to explain it briefly but stopped when she saw that they could not understand a thing.

"See? I'll give you a demonstration tomorrow to let you understand it briefly but don't expect me to teach you all the knowledge I know. You're better off learning magic as some of those things will be useless compared to magic. Just see what the higher-ups can do," she followed.

Nonetheless, they went bewildered and even backed away a little.

"You can destroy a whole village?!" Elle said.

"Of course not, it will be impossible for me to do that. Countless years is possible but one can just train your magic powers and be more powerful in a few years compared to that," she said.

"Why don't you show it use right now in the training ground?" Blair said.

"The sun is going down already, we can do it tomorrow and why don't I treat you all to the diner this evening? I'm already hungry," Luna said.

Elle happily agreed. "Wow, the new teammate is the one treating us but how could I turn it down? Let's have a feast!" she said.

"Of course we will have," Luna said.

She didn't mind it.

'When it comes to food, one shouldn't be too stingy,' Luna thought.
