Upon entering their designated room, Luna saw Ashley and Lisha in the living room with some thick books on the center table. They were both busy in their studies and their serious face seemed stressed out. They turned their heads after and lightly smiled at her.
"How's your shopping?" Ashely said.
"It's good. I managed to buy some few jewels and potions," she answered
"Oh? Let me see it later. I wonder what jewel is available for this month," Lisha said.
Luna nodded and said, "Of course, I'll show it to you once it's placed into the ring," she said.
They didn't take long chatting as they were busy though they managed to inform her that she would possibly be teaming up with them in the future as roommates were treated as a fleeting team. The fleeting team would need to pass a test for their section to advance levels, receive rewards and have a better room.
Fleeting teams allowed students to team up with different statuses but a section would decrease a level when a new student or a lower student came in. That's also why the seniors should decide carefully whom to add in their rooms although a room should have a minimum number of three members or they would be forced to be transferred to other rooms.
"You are not wrong for accepting me here," she whispered.
Luna placed the leather bag in her study table in the corner and took out the pocket with jewels inside it and the potions she bought.
"I need the book!" Luna uttered.
It was the Alchemy book that Akiro let her borrow. He wrote that book and it was the only copy he made aside from the original one he had. She could still remember how many times he reminded her not to lose the book as it held his precious knowledge in Alchemy. His overwhelming confidence made Luna roll her eyes mentally.
Luna began to read the book carefully and was thankful that its contents were detailed enough for her to understand. This would be the first time she would try mixing potions alone. Her first try was with Akiro when they were still in the castle hotel in North village.
"Stir for one hour, light up the flames.. better with someone with a magic element of fire," she uttered.
Luna quickly placed the jewels in her drawer, locked it then took a few bottles of potions towards the kitchen. There were Alchemy rooms that they could rent but she didn't want to go outside as trouble seemed to follow her.
Thankfully, their designated room had a medium-sized kitchen enough to do some alchemy. It's one of the privileges they could get when they have high fleeting team levels. She felt lucky and embarrassed at the same time in taking advantage of the room her roommates had worked hard to obtain.
After getting lost in her thoughts, she finally started arranging the bottle of potions she needed in order and placed the book in a safe place enough to not be damaged by the droplets of liquid yet at a sufficient distance where she could read the instructions with ease.
The dark brown clay pot on her right side was the one she used and placed it above the cooking place. It was largely different from what she was used to back on Earth but it didn't hinder her that much as she had white and golden flames.
"I'll first try it with water," she uttered.
After filling the clay pot with water she lit up some golden flames followed by a few white flames. The water was being boiled nicely but cracks started to appear. She immediately stopped it.
"It looks like I have to decrease my white flames a lot. My golden flames can only clean but not fix large broken things," Luna said.
At her level, her golden flames had few effects and it could only fix small holes in clothes and clean it but nothing more than that. Healing was still its main purpose and she thought that it would remain as it was.
She took a thick cloth and removed the clay pot from the cooking place. As soon as it was placed on the large dark brown basin, it slowly shattered.
She went stunned and said, "O-okay, I'll remember to replace this pot in the future."
Without wasting her time, she hastily took another pot and filled it with water. This time she only put a small white flame and soon put a large golden flame to keep the white flame from devouring the fragile pot.
"Great! This will do!" Luna cheered.
Luna lessened the water and followed the instructions carefully. She didn't complain about the lingering heat in the kitchen and continued what she was doing. Five bottles were used into making the urgency potion so she would not want to complain about the heat and just finish her work.
Then after stirring the urgency potion mixed with her magic, it was finished. It was almost a month's worth of Quick potion. She poured the yellow liquid into the empty bottles of urgency potion but it was not finished though. The remaining liquid into the pot would be used for modifying it into an upgraded version, the speed potion. She opened up her own notes and started doing experiments mixed with a bit of Science knowledge.
"I can do this!" she uttered.
The sun had already set when Luna finished mixing and modifying the potions. Her dress was full of sweat which she had not bothered changing. After cleaning the pots, Luna went towards her room and placed the potions into her bag for future use but she didn't wish to use them right away. As the saying said, 'be careful of what you wish for'.
Luna could be finding herself in countless troubles if she wished to test her potions. She went into her bed after changing into clean and fresh clothes.
"For Pete's sake, let me gave a peaceful walk around the school. You can fight me all you want later," Luna uttered.
"I'll eat dinner later," Luna said while yawning.
Shopping outside and doing alchemy after that made her very tired. The body of a healer could only take so much. She soon fell asleep with a pillow on her face.
"I still have to replace the broken pot..," she mumbled.
