Chapter 64 - Shop

A week had already passed. In the recent days, they attended Advanced Mage Quinn's classes and in the span of a week, Luna was able to learn many things about magic. Without those, she would possibly take years to master her magic element. Only relying on her knowledge on Earth seemed to not be enough. It only gained her a huge advantage over others but it didn't give her a hundred percent assurance.

Luna who was on the side of the road strolled down towards the magic and potion's shop. She needed many things and buying some potions was among them. She also wanted to modify it.

An example was a speed potion. As a healer, her magic leaned towards spells about healing and some support ones. It would take some time for her body to increase its speed like the other classes. Although it wasn't that efficient to use compared to them, it was a great advantage for escape.

'Hehe, we'll never know when I attracted some troubling people again,' Luna thought.

She entered the shop. The man inside the store looked towards her way upon hearing the sound of the tiny bell above the door. He smiled and began to accommodate her in his utmost hospitality.

"What do you want, young lady?" he asked.

As an experienced shop owner inside the Magic Academy, one should be kind towards the students and be mindful of the ranks as no shop owner would want to incur their ire. Although the young lady in front of her seemed calm, he did not know anything about her. She's a new face but he began to be confused as a golden-tier healer badge was pinned on her blouse.

'A golden-tier healer customer is something I will not possibly forget in this magic academy,' he thought.

"Uhm, I want ten bottles of urgency potion and 2 bottles of magic item enhancement," Luna said.

It was stated in the lesson they had learned in classes that a unique potion was not available in potion shops. They should make it themselves with the common potions available. One could also make common potions with magic ingredients though not all of the students would enjoy mixing common potions for long hours.

It was written in the book that the term 'quick potion' was used for enhancing one's speed.

The man immediately got her the set of potions. It was quite costly but seeing her class, it wouldn't be impossible if she was already aware of the starting cost of some common potions. Not all common potions were of the same value. It's because some were carefully made with high quality as these potions would be needed to create higher-tier potions.

"It will be 500 silver coins, young lady," the man said.

Luna frowned upon hearing the price but paid him nonetheless. She gave him one gold coin as she didn't have any silver coins anymore.

The old man didn't see that coming. It turned out that the lady here was a noble. Only rich people would not be stingy in spending a gold coin without much thought.

Although Luna didn't mind it as the money was given by Akiro, a man who didn't even have a second thought of spending magic stones for other people much less a gold coin. She had to at least took the opportunity to buy some resources with it.

"Come back again, dear customer!" He said.

Luna smiled and nodded. Then she got out of the store afterward.

"Next will be the Jewels' section," she uttered.

She would buy a ring. It was said that it could hold magic when enchanted. A high-quality ring would have rare stones on it. No matter the price, she had to get one of the rare stones or maybe two.

Although her shopping wasn't as peaceful as she thought. A senior in her familiar light green eyes and tight clothes with a dark violet robe that only covered her upper body was at the counter talking with the shop owner.

Their eyes went towards her as soon as the bell rang. Her eyes squinted upon seeing Luna.

"Welcome, young lady, do you have something in mind or want to see our accessories? We have common to rare ones with high-quality stones!" the woman said.

There were a total of three workers in the shop compared to the former ones that Luna went to.

"I advise you don't get your hopes up. A golden-tier holder wouldn't have that much money and points," the senior said.

Luna's brow raised. She was sure that the senior saw her eating in the most expensive dining area in the diner. Although her points were still nothing compared to her, Luna's unlimited gold coins should not be underestimated.

She had just found out about it since the small pocket seemed to not run out of money. It should be less than one-fourth already but it began to be full every morning. She didn't have any idea if Akiro was just lending her that amount of money but she just had to disregard it for the time being. The important thing was she's able to spend a thousand gold coins daily.

"Oh! Madam, what a coincidence," Luna said.

She quickly turned towards the woman working in the shop and asked her for something. The man that was talking to the senior took her attention as he didn't want chaos to arise inside his shop.

"I want to see some rings with rare quality stones. Something like this," she said.

Luna showed her the pale pink brooch that Akiro gave her. She just learned that it was a high-quality stone thus she was glad that she didn't wear the robe after her first day in the Academy. She could cut it smaller to be placed in a ring but it would be a waste. The jewel was just perfect as a brooch in her robe.

Meanwhile, the woman rubbed her eyes. She didn't know if she was seeing it in reality or it was just a dream.

"Sir! Can you check this Lady's jewel? She wanted some high-quality stone like this!" the woman shouted.

The man that was accomodating the senior quickly turned his attention to them.

Luna walked towards him and showed him the pale pink brooch.

The man used some magic spell in his hands and examined the jewel found at the center of the brooch. His eyes glittered in delight.

"I-it's real! This is the jewel named the angel's tear. There are only two of them known in Magus Nation. Uhm, Lady may I know your name?" he said.

Luna didn't speak for a second but still said her name after. "Luna Noir sien Mendelevinn, the last name from my master," she said.

It would be clear if she just explained her situation briefly after an introduction as she didn't want to be the gossip of the school.

"M-mendelevinn! No wonder but we didn't have something like this one. If you want we can show you the best quality of jewels we have," he said.

Luna nodded. She just wanted them to show her the best ones she could get. Though, she should have hesitated if she knew it was that rare. All she knew was it's a pale pink magic ore found in few mountains but it seemed that the one in her hand came from another place.

The man immediately instructed his two workers to get their best jewels and rings in his shop.

While they're doing it, the senior glared more fiercely than ever.

"Are you sure you're the student of the Honorary Master Mage?" she said.

Luna turned towards her, confused. "And why would I lie, madam? If you want you can ask the Head of the lower mage's association. He knew me and has connections with the Honorary Master Mage," she said.

The woman gritted her teeth in anger. "Don't call me madam! I have a name! Lady Astrid, the daughter of a duke! Remember that. Your position was no higher than mine!" the senior said.

She left the shop after that.

'The walk-out girl,' Luna thought.

It was the third time she left when she encountered Luna.

The man soon placed the jewels in front of her which Luna took her attention instead of the arrogant lady.
