Shortly, the podium at the center glowed brightly and the magic dust that glittered began to twirl around it. As soon as it appeared, all of the people that talked as if there's no tomorrow shut their mouths.
Soon after, a red-robed man entered the hall through the left door at the corner. He's dashing with youth but his countless life experiences had reflected through his eyes.
'The man is over a hundred years old,' Luna thought.
She still remembered that the human's life span here could reach 400 years. Whether they had weak magic or not, magic had extended their lives throughout history.
"A great morning to all of you, the enrollment period of our reputable academy have started out again. May you do your best inside our school. And to celebrate this grand day, we invited our Honorable Master Mage!" he said.
The people clapped delightfully in his presence. It wasn't every day that they could see the aloof Honorable Master Mage. One could say that the Magus Emperor appear more frequently than him which even his appearance wasn't well-known.
Although there was some fear in their heart upon the countless rumors that circulated. Due to him not being present in events, they weren't able to confirm if it was true.
Akiro walked near the podium and faced the people with their curious glances.
"Do well everyone," Akiro said.
It was very short and direct but the people didn't dare to show it to their faces especially in front of him who was busy scanning the people around.
"And don't mind my presence for today. I'm not here for work. I'm just accompanying my student," he continued.
After that, he left the center and walked back to the front seat.
The other man left at the podium and continued his speech although the people's minds were thinking about what the Honorary Master Mage said.
He accepted a student! And only one at that.
It's good as saying as he would be accepting an official student that was yet to graduate from the academy.
Luna ignored the many eyes that could pierce her body if it was just knives.
The man who introduced himself as the head of the lower students' association, was William lis Quinn, an advanced mage. He would also be supervising the new students today who would soon be a part of the lower students' association.
The academy didn't have a thing called entrance exam and tuition. Although Luna thought that it was easier to get in but hard to get out resulting in a lower percentage of graduating students.
She also heard from Akiro that it was not uncommon that no one graduated every school year. It was to be said that even the senior students still find it hard to graduate.
"Then it was certainly a big news when you graduated in such an early time," Luna said.
"It was. That's why in these recent years, I'm glad that only a few people recognize me when not at work," he said.
Both of them stood up because it's time for the students to leave their companions.
"Do your best. I'll be counting the days so don't forget you have only a year based on our agreement," Akiro said.
Luna faced him just like normal. The indifferent and independent Luna couldn't be seen today even when taunted.
"Of course, of course. This wasn't the first time I'm challenged to you know," Luna said.
Although she was suddenly transported to another world that she wouldn't be able to clear that goal.
Akiro had a small talk with the advanced mage, William lis Quinn while she swarmed with the students that fell in line neatly as the mages instructed.
The large door opened and she was slightly blinded by the sun's light for it was dim in the hall they were currently in.
"May you learn many things inside our reputable Academy," they said.
Once they were inside, it wasn't that different from a large city except that it was filled with busy students.
'Did they made the Academy out of a former city?!' Luna thought.
She also went to a huge school in her previous world but this one was insane.
It was like they expected that many students would be staying here for a very long time and it would soon be populated thus they built a massive city-like school.
The other students didn't mind them like it was just a usual event that was happening every year and they were completely used to it.
The head of the lower students that came back later than them soon led them to their designated houses.
There was a huge gray castle in front of them. The school's banners proudly stood in some areas and the students came in and out indefinitely.
"This is one of the student's designated living areas. Our living areas are mixed from lower students to senior students so don't act rashly. You won't want to pick a fight with them. Moreover, We don't assign you a room, we let you find a room. Kindly talk with the students there and find a roommate," he said.
The task they were given was already a pain. They should hurry up before they were left with arrogant young nobles who were likely to make it hard for the commoners. The academy accepted students from all classes but it wasn't a guarantee whether you'll make it alive or not.
The head nicely smiled at them and wished them good luck.
Luna began to walk into the castle while carrying her luggage. It was heavy but she made it to the entrance although she could hear some of the new students' laughter.
"My, my I don't know why he accepted such a weak student."
She could see that some of them were nicely dressed as young noblemen and women.
Luna brought down her luggage just in front of the doorway and raised her hand above her chest.
The white dense flames soon enveloped her right hand and the wind seemed to become harsh in their direction. She looked innocently from afar and opened her mouth.
"I wonder if I should burn something for today?" she said.
A magic circle was starting to form underneath her that made the new students ran away.
"Tsk," Luna uttered.
Since Luna was able to carry the luggage on the stairs, she then pulled it further inside the academy. Nevermind her unlady-like manners, there's certainly no place for a meek girl inside the academy.
In the midst of it, someone stopped in front.
"Mind if I help you?" Someone said.
It was a sweet girly voice that seemed familiar to her ears. When Luna raised her head, both of them seemed stunned.
"Luna?"
"Sylvette?"
They both uttered in unison. Slyvette recovered from her shock and smiled sweetly.
"We're really fated to meet, aren't we?" She said.
"It seems like it," Luna followed.
"I didn't plan to invite a new roommate over but I will be glad if it is you," Sylvette said.
"Are you sure? There's no turning back," Luna said.
They met months ago but it didn't mean that Sylvette should do her a favor. Something like that would just result in a bad situation since they didn't even know each other very well.
Though Sylvette decisions seemed firm.
"Are you kidding me? I meant it," she said.
Luna smile back. "It's settled then. I'm happy too that I met my first friend back in South Village," Luna said.
"But first let me carry your luggage," Sylvette added.
Luna saw her effortlessly picked it up like a handbag. Her strength was to be praised. They walked down the large hallway and ascended upstairs while talking.
"Anyway, let me introduce myself again. I'm Lady Sylvette Eliesse Everwinter, a marquis' daughter in North Village. Don't mind my title, I'll not be the heir anyway. And recently just became a senior student!" Sylvette said.
Luna didn't mind her as she said though she seemed more shocked she's already a senior.
"Is it alright for you to have a lower student as a roommate?" Luna asked.
"Of course, there is no rule stating that we shouldn't accept a new student and how can I left a dear friend alone in the hallway?" Sylvette said.
She was friendly as ever that Luna seemed glad to meet a person like her.
They continued walking until they reached a two-way door.
'My another school life had just started,' Luna thought.
Although school seemed to not escape her sight as she needed to attend one again.
